Oh, thats an easy way to do that! That stitch, sc, dc, etc is one of my favorites. I've done also sc, tc, and ss, dc or ss, tc but never changed colors on ea row, so I never discovered that it could be a houndstooth pattern. Thanks a mil!❤
That is really a clever stitch! Thank you for sharing! I learned to crochet as a child and kept it up until about my junior year in college when things just got too hectic with a double major. I'm just picking it back up after DECADES and a "family curse" has left me unable to work. It's a lot more enjoyable than I remembered. My grandmother started teaching me when I was about 7; by 10 I was pretty adept. Now, I'm relearning A LOT of things I've forgotten over the years, lol, I'm shocked @ how much I don't remember! Thanks to RU-vid and a strong familiarity picking it back up has been a breeze so far. AND YOUR channel has been a Godsend in learning new things! THANKS.

I'm so sorry I'm late getting to your question. Just add an additional Stitch at the beginning and end of each row. That means two stitches in the first Stitch & two stitches in the last Stitch of the row
Question, if you're working in a round will starting with sc and ending with dc be the same? Also thank you for this tutorial, its so much easier to follow than another one I saw. The other one didnt do the chain but did like..chain two than got into the first stitch and all that.

I tried it, even mapped out the stitches on paper. I kept coming up with an extra chain. Can you count the chains, please? 15, skip 2=13. Single, double,S, D, S, D, S, D, S, D, S, D, S= 14 ending with a single.
