I like the fact that he gave us the easy solution . This is because in many cases, the person is in a bind and has not the money or time to do the whole thing. Until I can afford to pay a Mechanic to do the whole thing, this would g e t me through.
Hi, As a professional Master Auto Tech, I would elect to replace the timing cover & the vibration dampening pully. However, you video was the perfect "for instance" and it helped me direct the customer as to what has or is likely the concern with his 2005 Camry. Oil all over the front of the engine, might be the crank seal but I can see rubber coming out of the dampener, The rubber is hard & brittle. Thanks for the video
@@MayoCarsDR you need to replace that harmonic balancer which caused the problem. Which you decided to trim down the rubber. That's the first sign of it failing. The next time you will not have one because the rubber will give it and the pulley will fall off.
