Use some dielectric grease on those connections, fill the connector up with it If you want. Also see if the connector terminals haven’t expanded or stretched a bit, they can be tightened up by just lightly squeezing with pliers.
@@r91motorswelcome79 My girls R6 had corrosion on her rectifier, we cleaned it, and it got better, but it still wasnt charging, so we ended up getting a new OEM rectifier and shes riding again. Cheers for the good informative video! Your bike is sick too, the fluorescent yellow is dope
Hmm ok I was thinking it takes more power to make them brighter and see some of the bikes struggling with charging power after installing xnons battery get drained like 5 times faster but if you say
I'm an electrician and everyone thinks this way. Mainly because of flashy advertising such as "12,000K SUPER BRIGHT LED". K = Color of actual light emitted, lumens = Brightness
I went And search the paint code for the 2010-2015 corvettes Since their yellows are a beautiful color, I would just use that if you had wanted to paint the fairings👍🏼
Hi thanks for the video. I've got the same bike as you. Please tell me because my charging voltage is about 13.78 max. Stator is OK. Rectifier I will check once again but I think Ok. Battery is fully charged. Spec. Says it should be above 14 v 14 -14.5v. Any idea why I have max 13.78? Cheers
Hi, my battery just died not long ago from leaving the key on and since then it lasted 4 months just fine til recently it died, wouldn't start. Now that I bought a new battery I just installed it, turned it on and idle and gave it some revs and stuff but I didn't go for a ride, let it sit there for 2 days and now I went for a ride the 4rd start up (rode stop rode stop etc) and now its acting up, once I turn it on and crank it the cluster goes blank for a second. I think its because when I installed it on I didn't take it for a ride to let it charge the battery properly. Could that be the problem? It's a agm battery 190cca 8.6ah mottobatt mbtz10s. Same battery as when I bought the bike. Thanks for the video guide!
Just make sure there is good connection to the battery positive and negative! Also test have many volts battery shown when bike is not running Should be 12 to 12.8 volts for new battery end then start bike and check again should be minimum 13,5 v if not your rectifier is playing up! If all measurements are good then something else is draining your battery like alarm or stator is on fault but unlikely check the first steps and you will know strait away
@@r91motorswelcome79 @Mike T thanks I figured it's cos I didn't take it for a ride/rip straight away after putting it on. I started it again today after 2 days and it fired straight up very quickly though so there's that and I kept it revs above 5k rpm and kept reving it for 2 minutes, hopefully thatll put some juice into it. I think (cross fingers not) that my rectifier or stator is playing up, or could be starter relay solenoid as I remember for a week when I turn the ign.on I would here a clicking sound so there's that.. Or I might be mistaken that our bikes don't charge the battery once you start it it runs off the electrical system - the bike on its own basically.. 🤷♂️ I'm not too mechanically inclined but do have basic knowledge..
@@r91motorswelcome79 It was definitely the stator. The bolt heads in the stator had somehow come a bit loose and the heads were smoothed out to where I couldn't even see the grooves on the head. I knew I heard a bit of grinding. Oh well.
There is a burn in negative in the socket going to rectifier is there any effect on causing error and battery not charging? My stator is good i checked it already and my rectifier.thank you for your answer sir..
You can buy a kit that replaces the clip. It’s like 10-15 USD, and it’s worth it. Try eBay or Amazon. I replaced mine a few years ago and it’s an easy fix

It’s just a little pin to press and shoul come of but in your case could be a problem with wiring maybe corrosion or or something to do with wiring burn and like welded together needs to get of some have maybe worm up with something or try w40
My 06 R1 won’t start but click on the relay solenoid. New stator with flywheel and gasket, new battery , new relay solenoid , new rectifier. I’m out of ideas this is frustrating
@@r91motorswelcome79 I don’t believe so it just turns on then relay clicks and dashboard rests like I turned off my ignition and turned it back on. Very frustrating
@@almightytwisted935 don’t think there is something massively wrong did bike was starting before and when did this problem start needs to understand what’s happened
