Cummin N14 Select Plus owner here. My suspected failing injector occurs when the ambient temperature thus the engine is at 40° F or lower. I'm not certain if it's one injector or if it's a random misfire. The opposite to you though is that when I increase the RPMs to 1,000 the missfire goes away. However, I'm too terrified of destroying my crankshaft; thetegore, I'm taking my engine down and going company driving for a while till I get figure it out cuz now the cold weather will be here within 60 days in northeastern Illinois.
I have a question if all injectors pass threws rebuild done and rack run still missing on cylinder 5 and 6 also brand new ecm two different shops couldn't fix now I am last resort at my shop I rather get it right than bad just opened my shop but need little inside on this what could be issue ???

Sorry for late response but yes that conector it's part of it u will need to get an interface just go to Ebay an check for nexiq usb link and there is a lot of them to chose
Hi I have a can do interphase diagnostic. I have a N 14 red top comments started out with the check engine light coming on oil light coming on for just a few seconds and then would go off and would run fine for a period of time now it’s got a dead mess and it does not pull any diagnostic codes for a misfire or what cylinder it is misfiring on. Can you help ? The engine will not go above 1500 RPMs

Sorry for the inconvenience but there is so many things to look up am not imagine answering all questions or trying to do a diagnostic with out seeing your engine and not all people explain how the problem started n14 engines are really good engines but really difficult to diagnos give me more info and I will try help u on your problem
Carlos Ortega A veces lo siento que trabaja bien a veces no.y aveces escucho el ruido como el del tuyo y no funciona muy bien a ver si le desconecto un inyector el número cinco y se mira que no le está funcionando y de rato o al siguiente día lo reviso otra vez y ya está funcionando o a veces como que funciona pero muy poquito muy bajito me cambie el injector y siguió igual
