i thought the scandinavian flick was only done in rallying... anyway i usually use this technique when going through a corner too fast.. it works to get through if u can keep the bike upright XD BTW GMBN could you please do some hardtail stuff someday..

my bike hack is instead of elbow pads, get an adidas goalkeeper shirt as they have removable foam pads in the elbow, also there quite strong as they are designed for diving in. I fell of on concrete and it had no damage on it.

please only do that in a bikepark :), please don't do that on a natural trail... damages the trails and increases resentments towards mountainbikers. a lot of trails in my area are being closed for mountainbikers for that reason :(

Natural trails are the perfect place to drift, they are rough as crap anyway. The problem is that people in some countries especially Americans expect they should have access to walking trails and make no effort to go out and build their own mountain bike specific naturals trails. If you build your own trails you don't have these issues

@@MultiAlxndr Land in the states is managed pretty tight. You can't just go to your local woods and start building trail. The kids at UCSC have built an amazing trail system but its ALL illegal and park rangers have been known to cite people and even confiscate bikes. So its more about the lack of land or the unwillingness to allocate land for mountain bike specific trails

The word 'FLICK' looks like a different word when in block capitals like it is in the thumbnail previews on the right of the page. Wife was wondering why GMBN would be instructing people on this and was also wondering what was so different about the Scandinavian version. I’m here from the rally world so for bikes it’s somewhat similar for rally in an old car with no downforce yes absolutely in a modern car with plenty of aero and modern suspension nah but in some turns it is faster

Love the bike design ru-vid.comUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube.All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.

+Global Mountain Bike Network I'll concede that the Scandinavian Flick is not the sole source of brake bumps, but locking up a rear when going into every high speed corner is. I know every video features slow motion shots of roost and people want to emulate that, but there was a time when skidding down the trail was frowned upon. Besides, it's slower.
