If you have lower back pain (by your tail bone) when you SIT or change positions - this self-treatment technique is for you.
SI Joint Pain sufferers typically experience lower back pain, groin pain or numbness, heaviness, or burning wrapping around their leg.
When done correctly, you may hear a "click" in the pelvis.
If you have numbness, tingling, or weakness in one of your legs, we have a 30-second test to see what’s causing your pain.
Take the free 30-second self-test now to diagnose your pain:

Hey y'all that don't understand. This is an isometric movement. There's nothing to see because your feet don't actually move. Do the motion he describes but imagine your feet are glued to the ground. Thanks so much for this great tip!!

This is fantastic. For those who do not understand, the directions he gives are exact. Feet remain in place while your brain tells them to move, only the muscles move not the feet. It is like pressing the feet without stepping. Hope that helps. I am going to do this every day. Thanks!

@@ZafarYTC the same as she described in the first exercise but the second one you pretend to move your legs sideways instead of forward without actually moving your legs.

Remarkable advice! No other DC ever shared this one with me! I’ve been told to squeeze all my butt muscles, while laying down and HOLD them tight for a count of 10. Then repeat as many reps as needed to stop my SI Joint & sciatic pain, and it works! The exercises you showed take it to another level because I believe all these can help train your muscles to be stronger and possibly heal the issue! I’ve noticed that pulling your navel in like your sucking it toward your spine really helps train your core abdominal muscles that ALSO support the spine and pelvic muscles! Wow! Flattens your belly!! Thanks so very much for sharing this secret!!

I’ve been in agony for 4 days after losing my footing walking my dog. It’s a pain I’ve never experienced before and thought I’d screwed up my back. I couldn’t sit down comfortably and all I wanted to do was walk (I did 30,000 steps today - I usually do 10,000). Worse still, I was waking up frequently at night because of intense pain after any slight movement in bed. I’ve just done this exercise and feel so much better. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Hi Chad, I only learned about your clinic and research this morning and I'm SOOOOO very grateful. I'm based in Melbourne, Australia. I've been seeing osteopaths for 20 years for severe neck arthritis (spondylosis, reverse lordosis) and in the last, say, 5 years have been having significant and constant problems with my SI joint. Most annoyingly nobody recommended strengthening exercises or the joint movement tips you provide in this video. Wow, I've spent who knows how many $1000 getting next to no-where. I also had one knee replaced and the other also has severe arthritis and joint damage (though I never want to go through that surgery again). I believe both neck and knee issues have contributed to my SI joint issues, but definitely also habits like crossing legs and favouring one knee (side of the joint) over the other. Because I still have knee problems, this will be an ongoing concern. I was wondering if you have any tips or videos that might incorporate 'recovery' of these joints together? Again, many thanks for your generosity! Cassy

Hi Sir! Hope you are doing well. I had a fall on my hips in my college days (4-5 years back). Due to that my right SI joint has become a bit uneven. I could feel that my right bone on the right SI joint is a bit out. I have recently started to feel that when I walk, I feel a sting on my right glutes. I want to ask you if this could be fixed by visiting a chiropractor. Love from India.

Hi, I play hockey and seem to keep having SI joint pain on my left side. It comes and goes and I’ve seen sport related doctors to help with this that I got from our team doctors and trainers. However, I seem to keep finding pain and stress in my SI joint. I’ve tried these expertises shown and it has helped a lot. Is there a reason this pain keeps coming back? None of the team doctors or specialist I’ve seen can seem to find an answer for why it keeps happening. Any help or advice would be huge for myself and for me to continue my hockey career. Thank you, Tyler

Kim Isom It’s Pushing In & Pulling Away At Same Time... Right Leg Pushes inward / Left Pulls Away. Or can do Vice Versa... My right side usually hurts & SI joint slips back on right side making right leg shorter & that’s what causes severe pain. Once adjusted- pain immediately goes away. Core strengthening exercises are helpful also and being careful bending over & sitting on a padded surface for me.

Firstly, thank you very much for your time & effort to make all these videos! They're very informative and helpful. I've had chronic alternating bilateral SI jt pain for the last few months, must likely from chronic L hip problems. Although my hip pain is decreasing through rehab exercises, and I've been stretching and icing both my back and hip, along w/ ibuprofin, the SI jt pain continued. AFTER doing these exercises/techniques (and also those from your June 2017 video) for the last two days, I've notice an immediate marked decrease (and temp. absence) of SI jt pain on both sides. Thanks again!

Use your legs(bend the knees) when reaching for anything low so your back/pelvis aren't doing all the work. And when reaching for anything high make sure you train yourself to tighten your core muscles (abs) so that they are supporting your spine and keeping it in neutral position --not a professional, just speaking from personal experience and physical therapist help

The SI belt is a great relief, a game changer. This shit is a tendinitis that triggers muscles who themselves get inflamed trying to compensate. The sciatic nerve is right in the middle and you are forced to stop walking after 10 min, bursting in tears. The logic is to block the SI as much as you can by wearing the belt so the ligament can heal because it is not constantly over solicited anymore. Then you need to reinforce all the muscles around the SI joint like this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C7lH34CfwYQ.html. Anything else is bullshit. The good news is, just the belt can bring you back to a normal life. It can heal, you will still have to work the muscles to make it perfect but it can heal, like any other tendinitis. Be patient, wear the belt 24/24 (approximately I mean) and work these exercises. If you can afford, growth hormone and B. Thymosin but if you cant, don't worry, the key really is in stabilising the joint and that's the belt's/exercises job
