Just got my first Mustang, so as a result I’m new to the channel after wanting to find content related around Mustangs. Would love to continue hearing all your knowledge in this world. I am here for the Long run, I can never see myself never having a Mustang now.
Bro this was a good video, I always use track mode when racing. I never used the drag strip mode because it seemed like it hit the rev limiter and wouldnt shift itself up when I had the shifter in sport mode
So after you do your burnout and back up, you put the gear in sport and take off from the line and you don't have to use the paddle shifters? It'll automatically shift on its own? In drag strip mode?
If you don't have the stock tires and wheels you need to have your tune worked on.. The shift points are affected when you change diameter of the tires..
Can’t remember if you mentioned this in other videos, but have you tried launching the car in 2nd gear? Ford supposedly achieved the best 0-60 time for the HPP EcoBoost Mustang by launching the 10R80 in second gear.
I put the MMR electric water pump and Davies fan controller that is inside the car. I can dial in the temp I want. I live in Florida and car doesn't reach over 193 ever even in the summer. I also have a Mishimoto aluminum radiator. Plus I have Procharger D-1X that generates a lot of heat and it comes with its own alumunim tank. Best mods ever was the cooling.
Back to white definitely with a buff and glaze put a white Cervini Stalker hood with the ram air duct, white the trunklid but leave the 'DAGO FLAG' that's who you are and it's your trademark. The Corsa isn't gonna cost you any power leave it so you can drive it.
You can turn off advanced trac at any time even going down the road just by holding the trac control button until the info pops up like you did. And the S on the shifter I think is for Standard/Manual mode to shift yourself I think although my 10spd has a mind of it own sometimes even in the S Mode lol, I wish I had mine running as strong as yours at least til I boost it. Good stuff tho Jake!
@@Clutch_Kick187you have to put into Drag strip mode first then turn off advance trac because Drag strip mode has its own traction control settings and automatically turns it on even if you have already turned it off. So Drag mode then Advance trac off! It will then stay off!
Hey bro. Love the content. I’ve been having issues with a gt500 front bumper from ffperformance. Is the 777 hold up ? Mine has has 2 issues just cruising at 120.
Hey Jake I was just in a conversation about the line lock and I wasn’t going to chime in about the 160 * T-Stat but I just wanted to give you some food for thought! I’m in my mid 50’s and have had multiple supercharged Fox body cars a couple of stroker small block cars and an all out 8500 rpm pushrod small block bracket race car! My point is I had a supercharged daily that ran 11.80’s at 116 mph with 327 gears and i changed the gears to 373 which should have netted 2-3 mechanical tenths in the quarter mile and I went from the stock 197 T Stat to a 160 at the same time and my car slowed down to a 12.14 at 114 mph which was crazy to me?? So I back tracked and took the gear out and now I’m going 12.30’s I couldn’t figure it out. So I took the 160 T stat out and the car went back to the 11.80 at 116 mph then I put the 373 gears back in and went 11.50 at 120 mph I couldn’t figure it out? The explanation I got was the T stat left the car in cold start mode and it was excessively rich now I don’t know if the Coyote cold start is the same but I had no idea that the Fox EFI would be in cold start at 160*
My dad told me the exact same thing about his foxbody and how nobody would run the 160 one only 170 I am gonna head back to the track soon and see if it makes a difference I saved my stock one just to be safe thanks for the advice I appreciate all the info it’s crazy how you think the car would be making more power if it’s running at cooler temps but it ends up hurting it
@@ItalianStallion410 I’ve been told over the years that the engine you want at operating temperature it’s the inlet air temperature you want cold! But every engine and it’s programming is different! I do hope if works for you!
@@stevensink5544 we will see how well it works for Apollo I dropped the car off at the shop today so they can adjust the fan speed and when to kick on and off than back to the track we go
Been looking for info on how to best launch with the 10 speed, 19 pp1, full stock, just put 305 Nitto 555 g2's on the rear didn't know the sport mode on rear of the selector would shift for you in drag mode so havent tried it. Also the transmission sometimes shits hard out of 1-2nd, but almost immediately into 3rd on occasion so its killing my 0-60 time. Wonder if that would be fixed with the shifting into sport trick or if i need to turn off advance traction control first, typically i have not. It's the daily driver and was plenty fast for fun, but I want to drag it more now and wouldn't mind feedback. Im sure a tune will help, i'll look to that next. Car makes good power, but the "how to" is the hard part on drag racing the 10 speed. Sure you can just stage and send it but it definitely isn't it's fastest without some more know how.
You’ll prolly need a good tire for the rear so you’ll hook up with the 10 speed they shift hard and will knock the tires off on the 1-2 shift all the time
much more concerned with why i get an occasional early shift from 2-3, some spin is ok, but it shouldnt be killing the power like im seeing that quickly, will attempt to manually turn off the nanny controls and see if it gets better, the 305 nittos are good enough (brand new) to hook after not too much spin 1-2@@ItalianStallion410
What’s up bro love your vids! I was wondering why taking traction control off when In drag strip mode better than with traction control on? And do you recommend taking traction control off for street racing while in drag strip mode?
@@ItalianStallion410 appreciate for the quick response bro!🙏🏻 Don’t know any other RU-vidr who responds as quick as you. What if it’s stock tires or Michelin sport 4s?
whats the best mode for roll racing, I normally use drag mode and turn off trac go to the lowest gear floor it shift back into D and then back into S. But Ive heard people say that track mode and sport mode are better for roll racing. What do you think is the best mode for roll racing?
@@ItalianStallion410 always good vids man! Think you should keep it black for sure. Easier to clean🤷🏽♂️ tbh. I’m working on getting a house first then I’m gonna get another mustang for sure! Wish you could’ve seen my all black car I had.
7th gear is the last pulling gear for the 10 speed if a high horsepower 10 speed car keeps pushing past 7th gear very good chance you can smoke the trans
How much better does the new mufflers sound over the stock active? I have headers and stock mufflers and it sounds real good but I’m sure it could be better
@@ItalianStallion410 Crazy fast reply bro! 🤣♥️ I’m getting ready to throw Kook’s Longtube headers on my 20’ PP but live in a state with emissions so just trying to make sure I’ve covered since I’m tuned through Lund and they obviously won’t block any CEL or anything
@@ItalianStallion410 That makes sense, haven't used mine yet, just picked up a 2020 GT PP1 with the 10 speed and I love it so far, can't wait to get a corsa active
I ran an 11.2 on my 2019 mustang gt texas speed long tubes, drop in filter, and flex fuel (5g of E). Any reason you didnt get into the 10s? With this setup, im really surprised by that score.
@@ItalianStallion410 ahh okay. lmk if you see any improvements with just the thermostat, i mainly do rolls but when i asked my tuner about the thermostat, he said the coyotes actually like a bit of heat in them
Been in the auto business sense i was 16 ,59 now seen a few accidents thought i let u no , being young wasn’t sure if u young bucks no that lol ur welcome
You ride in cars with a automatic but you DRIVE cars with the manual. Real car enthusiasts DRIVE THEIR CARS. p.s. automatics aren't faster in a straight line because of the speed of the shift, but because of the installed factory gear ratios. Manufacturers are manipulating people into buying automatic in preparation for self driving electric vehicles.
@@ItalianStallion410it’s very easy to use you just have to press the pedal hard enough to get the graph to the top most people don’t push the pedal hard enough! It’s that simple
