“Rejection” sucks! But everything happens for a reason and if people can’t accept you for who you are and what you decided for your life then it’s their loss. I have to tell my self this frequently when my belief changed six years ago!

Your family wants you to choose them over your husband, and your sister not talking to you is her being manipulative. (Using cold shoulder or silent treatment to get what SHE wants: you to pick her and loose the husband---or even your Husband to change to suite _their_ wants and needs/preferences) This is so manipulative and hurtful. I'm so so sorry this is happening to you. This SUCKS. You sound like a wonderful person! And kudos to YOU for discovering who you are and getting your own thoughts and beliefs! We are ALLOWED to do that!! A true friend will love you and accept you for YOU, even if those parts of you are different from them ♥️ I have an Atheist friend and I am a Believer in Christ. We are good friends! We share the things we believe and think _freely_ and spend no time trying to change the other person or how they think. It's FREEDOM! People who aren't standing on firm ground in who they are and what they believe unfortunately get very nervous around others who believe differently than them, and the attempt to change you into who they are is an attempt to make them feel better and feel RIGHT. A healthy person doesn't care who's "right"....they care about the person underneath all those beliefs ♥️ Praying for you and your family 🙏🏻

Look into narcissism and personality disorders. You do sound like the black sheep/scapegoat of your family. I'm so sorry. It's not your JOB to make sure everyone else is OK with you or your husband/marriage. They are adults. With codependency, we feel that the only way people feel our love or care about us (our worth) is in us always saying "yes" when we are needed (no boundaries), saving them, rescuing them, BEING their answer, CHANGING ourselves to suite their needs or to *keep* the relationship.... it's not healthy. You only have control of YOU, you are only responsible for YOU. It may seem selfish but it's being whole and healthy! Your family will buck this new you because it's shaking up the role your family has placed you in. They don't like it. Too bad. 🤷🏻‍♀️ God bless you and your wonderful husband. Grieve the losses, set boundaries and know THEY are making adult decisions to not choose you and your husband because they don't like who you are, it doesn't fit their cookie cutter mold. This isn't love 😞

I agree except for if the husband is spouting hate or other harmful ideas, then I can totally understand the sister not wanting to be around them

First person. Find your sister outside of your blood family. Sometimes families are just not loving. Grieve, and look for your family outside. 😊

Maybe the sister is worried, we don’t know the info on the other side … the word was quite scary And if the sister is seeing manipulation or indoctrination… Maybe she choose to stay out instead of fighting all the time . I wouldn’t pic a side before knowing the all story…

What are these unforgivable views that her husband holds? Just wondering 🤷🏾‍♀️ does he get around her family and force his opinions and judgments on them? I need to hear more information. Cause everyone might not be wrong. They might be wrong, but maybe not. You don’t want to be isolated from everyone who loves you if he is the actual problem

It’s wild that I’m in almost the same exact situation with my family and female cousins- it’s painful and something I haven’t been able to let go of for 15 years but hoping this video will help me let go and stop longing for them.

It sounds like my sister and very typical work of the enemy to use one member of the family to isolate a strong believer from the others by creating drama or by just ignoring you. I know how you feel as the black sheep. It’s very painful. All you can do is pray for your sister and cousins. Only God can restore. You can rest in that. It’s hard but John is right you can’t change your sister, but give it to God who knows there may come a time where she will have a change of heart 🙏🏼

Reminds me of my brothers. I've said I know I am the black sheep of the family. I get the why would you ever think that. I am different, I know that. A huge hint is that I'm nearly 42 years old, and they have never visited me. I always have to visit them to see them.

Makes me wonder if the first caller’s family would approve of anyone she dates. Is she a convenient scapegoat because she didn’t let them run her life? Even if the family didn’t like the guy, why wasn’t she invited out with the cousins? Definitely not a supportive family.
