I will write the letters to me, John, and thanks for reminding me that I am worth it all. My husband died a year ago and I was down 30 lbs and I have put it back on. The last caller's baby voice is a major, heartbreaking red flag. The amount of stuff (trauma? Fear? Who knows?) that the voice is suffocating gives me chills.
The "meteorite plan" mentality is great. Try to control what is in your immediate control, and face the unknown future extreme situations with the tools you have. At the same time, I develop skills and tools that can help in almost any economic downturn from a small recession to full blown mad max style societal collapse. (Although I believe full collapse is unlikely)

Some of the most hitting words throughout last couple years is that I always go with me, regardless of where I go. Perhaps she'll read through the comments & develop the self-awareness that talking like a naive child is not an attractive quality for an adult woman. God forbid someone sees a comment they don't like on the internet... for they might learn something from it. (I'm doxxed on an internet hate site so don't come at me like I don't know or can't relate.) She is already married & doesn't need a white knight.
I can imagine Rhea dealt with her grief by eating understandably. 12 lbs more than thr average girl in high school may not seem like much but back then it actually may have been as stick thin was the norm n if she was taller thats one thing but same height as most or shorter would be more noticeable and perhaps the other girls got more male attention as well. So there may have been some childhood grief even before that. Life is too short to worry about this too much unless health risks.
My goodness! I hope at 75, my only worry is that I weigh an extra 30 pounds! We are living into our late years , never seen before in generations. Packing on a few extra pound’s pounds is beneficial , in case we f falls and developing simple illnesses. Helps you recover faster if you’re not skin and bones. Why fight your natural metabolism and be gym skinny? I don’t get it!
I missed the part in the last call about why they actually have to move in their to help. They're not even in an apt but a house n their going to sell it for this? Are they in a different state? Is their not some help they can provide that doesn't involve them moving in or at least try that first. Lot kf of unfortunate situations in this family n none are obviously anyone's fault but tbey do seen to have more than their fair share of troubles. The other siblings might be willing to help up to a point or in a limited way if they knew there was an actual game plan. Not that it's right but weak people tend to check out n run if something seems overwhelming.
Rhea you are enough. If you can lose some realistically go for it but don't let it steal your happiness n yiu are also setting an example for your kids n grandkids. I could understand it if yiu were younger n looking for a man, unfortunately that's how the world works. But that is not the case is it. Do you have friends? Its important to have peers in your life who value you for yiu. Unfortunately family often loves you but always see you as a mother n grandmother.
