During my 10 years gap I was depressed and anxiety overthinking and feeling trauma in workplace bullying from my previous career, continuous rejection from my new job application, being single mom and none of my relatives and acquaintances are able to take care my baby that time, and my dad ordered me to help him to his small business because my mom is sick and weak, Even though I don't want to do it Because I want to get a job , locked down from COVID 19 are the reasons why I am in 10 years gap unemployed.

Year 1993 to 2005: worked in Meralco as engineer with a lot of customer service experience. Gap - learned hard lessons in life during the gap, did a lot of significant informal studies, family bonding of varied activities & interests January 2014: Farming and Sales Production and Selling of Hollow Blocks, buy and sell of steel bars, year 2015: Helper in Electrical Works During my long gap, my problem is what would I tell the interviewer when he asks me about the separation pay ( from Meralco in yr. 2005 ) especially because that was a period in my life where I had some personal struggles that led to spending away or wasting much money (to be blatantly honest: prodigalship, I'm very sorry for mentioning this but worry not because I'm already a changed man) from my separation pay. Having said this, my EMPHASIS is on the lessons I had learned. Actually this is my greatest fear in being rejected: yung tanungin niya ako kung ano ang ginawa ko sa separation pay ko from Meralco. How will I answer the interviewer in case the topic of separation pay ( from Meralco ) pops up ? Although I have already learned my lesson the hard way from such expererience & I have already worked in farming, production and selling of hollow blocks, buy & sell of steel bars after that and after my stint in Meralco,

Hello po ms. rea, sorry magiging mahaba po itong comment ko i just really need help. I graduated last nov.2016 from my 1yr vocational course in college. Hindi po agad ako naghanap ng trabaho nun kasi plano ko po talaga yun na maagpahinga muna ng mga ilang bwan after ko gumraduate bago ako maghanap ng work so hindi po agad ako nag work, then last may 2017 tinulungan ko po yung friend ko sa tailoring business nila until september 2017 naging salesman po ako nila syaka mananahi na rin at the same time kasi nagtatahi po sila ng mga uniforms ng ibat ibang schools. Hanggang september lng ako sakanila kasi hanggang sept lng talaga nila kaylangan ng salesman syaka mananahi. After po nun hindi pa ulit ako nakapaghanap ng ibang trabaho kasi tinutulungan ko naman po yung mother sa pagtitinda ng miryenda sa bahay wala na po kasing tutulong sakanya kasi yung ibang siblings ko may sarili ng pamilya then yung iba still studying pa din. Nagkatrabaho lng ulit ako may 2018 na dun ulit sa business ng friend ko pero nung august 2018 nag start ako ng online business nag sesell po ako ng different kinds of glassware, kitchenware and dinnersets. Tumagal yung business ko hanggang march 2019, then may 2019 bumalik na ulit ako sa business ng friend ko ngaun tapos na ulit yung pagtitinda ko ng uniforms kelangan ko na po ng stable naa work para matulungan ko yung mother ko sa pagaaral ng mga kapatid ko kaya nagpplano akong mag apply sa callcenter. Ano po kayang pwede kong isagot pag tinanong sakin yang question na yan? Please help po Ms. Rea pasensya na mahaba yung pag explain ko. Thankyou and Godbless po ☺️.

Feeling ko po, feeling ko lang, hehehe although not all the time, mas interested and inspired ang employer sa reason what made you decide to apply than sa reason ng employment gap. Kaya mas okay pa rin na be honest.
