Our condolences, we're so sorry to hear that, and honored and humbled that we could help in any small way. Thank you for sharing that, we very much appreciate it.
Fantastic video! My huge beard has become too much in the pandemic so I ordered a trimmer and am starting with my forest sideburns. I needed a simple, straight forward video and it was quick too. Thanks so much.
Thanks for the tip. Tried to fade just today and I really dig the look. My hair isn't quite as thick so a 3 step fade didn't make much of a difference.
What if you went to your lip and now your fucked. Should I trim down my beard and restart or just periodically trim it a tiny bit and let the cheek hairs catch up
@@livebearded I found another good video of yours and realized I didn't actually doing anything wrong. I just needed to trim sides to not get a bell shape due to me fading sideburns down to lip line instead of earlobe. Thanks!
Im real close to where you're at and my main problem is the left side of my moustache wants to point down unless i style it with wax for half an hour. Any tips?
I have never taken care of my side burns when I fixed my beard up and don't get a haircut and finally decided to look a video of fixing up side burns and this video explained it very good. Now I'm gonna fix my burns. Haha
we all here use our Live Bearded MT-1 beard trimmer. It has multiple guards going up to 18mm and the built in guard goes from 1.3mm - 1.9mm. You can check it out here! livebearded.com/collections/accessories/products/beard-trimmer
I had the same question. Looking at pictures of the 12 guard online, it looks way bigger than the first guard he is using in the video. Perhaps he is using the equivalent guards to a standard 4, 3, and 2; which would be 13, 10, and 6 mm, respectively.
I'm so excited to try this tomorrow. I'm growing my first long beard and I've been growing for 6 months and my sideburn hairs are going down below my jaw but they curl like CRAZY. I hate it!!! I've tried with wash, conditioner, oil, balm, and paste all on various combinations and with a brush or comb or dryer combo as well. The best I can do is start them straight at the beginning of my day but within a few hours they have curled into absolute insanity and I look homeless and slightly unhinged lol. I'm very excited to see the results of this because the rest of my beard does good with a wash/condition, oil, balm, and a dryer/brush/comb. Fingers crossed for a great beard day tomorrow.
Hi, I am confused by the numbers, I have Clipper combs 1-8 and cannot find a 12 anywhere so should I be looking at mm instead? Thank you for a great video
It's best to look at your brand and thr brand being used in the video and compare them. Google the brands and see where the differences and similarities are.
Really helpful for people like me who just need to trim their unkempt sidelocks and align them with their hairdo. The settings info along with precaution, cleared the doubts for me.
I like a little wilder bushier look so I used kind of an abbreviated version of what was shown here and it turned out pretty good. This helped me a lot because I have always kept a buzzcut and never bothered to try for a big beard before. I have a pretty epic beard now but my sideburns were way too crazy. Just keeping it combed out and shaping my neckline with a little finger sized buzzer wasn't enough anymore. My Dad couldn't really teach me because he cant grow a good beard. This was perfect.

This seems like such a simple thing, once I have seen the video, but I wasn't sure the right way to do this and make it look good. This was an easy tutorial to follow. Thank you! Got it trimmed up a little and now my sideburns aren't getting in my ears. Appreciate the assist and broken down tutorial!
absolutely bro, we're always here to support you! Self trimming can definitely be a bit daunting, but with right tools and direction, it can be worlds easier. Glad we could help brother!
gonna be honest, i did this cause my sideburns grow wayyyy faster than my beard. Don't know if this was intended but it looks like I lost a few pounds afterwards. was this intended? prolly not. Am I complaining? Nahhh
Im 27 and wasn't blessed with tonnes of hair on top so i keep my hair really short.... I started growing my beard like a month or so ago and my hair on my head has started growing again so bit worried about cutting the top off and my sideburns not having that fade effect as i think it looks tonnes better with it..... thanks for the video seems really simple but yet to try so wish me luck xD
Glad I found this. I’ve recently started my beard and sideburns to actually grow into a beard whereas I used to always take everything to a 1 with clippers when I worked retail with Verizon to get that “baby face approach” well I still work retail at Verizon but now I’m a district manager so I’m not always in front of customers. I’ve finally made it out of the itchy stage & the straggle hair stage but it’s time to start trimming so I’m glad I’ve found live bearded. Right now my sideburns are all grown out and all over the place lol so I needed some help before I just decided to try something & wind up messing it up and having to start the growing all over again!
Glad you were able to find this video useful, we have a lot more great content on our blog at www.livebearded.com, always here to support you anyway we can.
okay I have a question I had a big beard but I went clean shaven I've been growing it back for a month I have hair under my neck but it's taking long to grow on the sides of my face and my side burns look like they need trimming idk what to do as I'm worried I might end up shaving the hair that I have on my cheeks should I go clean shaven again and shave my side burns of and let them grow again fresh idk I need help !

This is super helpful. I got a low fade on my hair but the barber didn’t fade it into my beard or anything so my side hair is shorter than my beard now lol. Gonna do this tonight
Two questions! 1. My beard grows out really curly and it gets these waves in it. Any advice to get rid of them 2. I’m growing my hair out too so how do you get yours to look that good?? Thanks brother
Hey bro! For the beard a great way to get the waves out is by using a little bit of heat from a blow dryer, a good quality comb or brush and some beard butter. A few guys on our team with curly or wavy beards use this technique and swear by it. As for the hair, gotta grab yourself a good barber!
@@livebearded any specific brand they like you use? Sorry I'm just new to taking care of my beard. Normally it just grows out to a wavy mess and I end up chopping it all off lol
@Twisted Saint I’m there too man!! I agree with Bearded, and I would attest to Maestro’s or Cremo Beard Butter. Both have been great. When applying hear with a hair dryer, be sure to point the heat in the shape that you want it and brush while using the hair dryer.
Yeah bro, Spence just likes his tight to his face. You can definitely use the same methods though, just a different guard that's more conducive to your growth.
