I live in the United States and my fiance lives in Dubai. Our Visa says transit, can we go ahead and schedule for medical and interview appointments or we need to wait till our visa is ready.

My case was already ready before a month ago but as I need my PCC so that's why I'm waiting for it so once I get my PCC then I'll fill and schedule my visa interview, so do I need to fill it now or wait until I get my PCC ? And supposed after I fill it can I take my appointment for visa interview so I take my visa interview date about next fews days or it'll be takes more time? Thank you for your video. At the end of the application, i saw there three ways to get your confirmation page, this include " sending to your email." If someone doesn't have a printer available, can he just send it to the emai,l the confirmation page? Does it work? Has anyone tried it?

Thank you so much! :) It took approximately a year from applying to have the K1 visa on hand. However cases are processing way faster now.. so I'm sure it would take half the time if we were to apply now.

I just completed the DS160 form and sent it to them by email as said in the instructions, but I'm unable to book my visa interview:( I don't know what I'm doing wrong but when I log into the website all I see is my first and last name, and when I click on 'Register your appointment' it needs me to sign in again...
I would like an average time this takes to fill out. I ask because my paralegal still isn’t done yet, and it was ‘in transit’ on May 21, and I let him know on that day. It was ‘ready’ the next day. He needed a questionnaire answered about my fiancé’s daughter, and she got it back to him this past Thursday. That not being done, and submitted, is holding everything up. My fiance cannot set up any appointments without the DS-160 confirmation number.😞
I'm not sure there's a specific way to check unless you're actually booking an appointment to see the availability. Just bear in mind there may be cancellations.. so you might be able to grab an appointment rather than have a long wait. Hope that helps! 😊

You can do things in any order. The DS-160 will be valid for 30 days. I believe every country has different requirements. We filled in the DS-160 then paid for our appointment fee and then scheduled the interview. Hope that helps.

Hi! First of all, thank you so much for your videos. The NVC status just changed to "In transit", so I am so excited. I would like to know if the beneficiary must have a return ticket when he goes to the USA with the k1 visa (this is required with other visas as well as with the ESTA) or you can travel with a one-way ticket. And I would also like to know if you can schedule the interview and pay the DS-160 fees before the NVC status is "ready". In Spain, the doctor's clinic that works with the embassy requires the DS-160 as well as an appointment. Thank so much in advance!
Hi! So you only need a one-way ticket. No return ticket is needed. And you can fill out the DS-160 at anytime. Either during the "in transit" stage or "ready" is a good rule of thumb to fill it out :)

Hello All, I started by DS 160 on March 30th 2024, booked my VISA appointment for drop box. However I haven't submitted DS160 yet, as per google it says its expires after 30 days. I have been updating my DS160 since past month. When I started the expiration date was 04/30/2024, now it says 05/31/2024. Does it mean it's still applicable or do I need to create a new DS160? There is so much conflicting info on various platform. Any suggestions, idea will be greatly appreciated.
I'm not too sure.. as we filled ours out when our case was ready. Let me know if you figure out if it keeps updating the date whenever you log in. My advice would just be to fill out the DS160 when you're near to having your appointment.

Didn't you have to answer "Yes" to questions: Has anyone ever filled an immigrant petition on your behalf with the USCIS? Your fiancé has filed an I-130 on your behalf with the USCIS, correct?

Quick question After medical exam Do you have to call them to make an appointment for interview or they gonna have to give you when there’s available spot
People usually schedule the interview first and then schedule the medical after. It’s easier to schedule the medical. When I say easier, I mean you can usually schedule the medical next day. The interview is subject to availability.
Does the DS-160 need to be filled out, and submitted, BEFORE scheduling medical exam and interview. I ask because I have an immigration lawyer and his next step is to fill out the DS-160, but I haven’t been given the next step I need to take. I have turned in all the financial information for the I-134 document.
That seems to be correct from what I’ve been reading. Keep in mind that the ds-160 expires in 30 days. So make sure you schedule your medical and interview in that time.
Also, I would like to know how we can get the ID number voice from the NVC to fill the form 260. We got the k1 letter from the NVC and our case is already ready at the embassy. Could you have an idea please?
If my fiancé was denied a tourist visa would he answer yes on the section that asks if he was denied a U.S. visa before? He currently holds a cd1 U.S. visa but it is only to transit through the United States to board a cruise ship for work. He is not allowed to come here to visit with it. In this case would he answer yes or no where it asks if he’s been to the U.S.?

I would wait till it says ready... but you can watch the video and start making a note of all the personal information you may need to fill out this form.

I would use the name listed on your birth certificate and passport. If you use Ally, you can list it in the other names section used (but you only need to use this if Ally is written on any legal documents)

In our case we chose our interview date and made our own appointment (that was in the United Kingdom), however I know the process for some countries vary.
Hello! Thanks for the video! I submitted DS-160 few days ago, but while I was watching the video now, I noticed that I answered No to that question " Do you have any immediate relatives" . I noticed my fiancée is on the list but he is not my relative (cousin,nephew,etc). What do you advise me doing? Should I start a new application or Will be a problem with submitting two applications? I'm sure it doesn't matter too much. But the DS-160 guidelines from what I remember counted fiancé/fiancées as immediate relatives which is why we filled it out that way.
