Thank you for this. You are a life saver. Some of the wording is very tricky. I would have messed this up several times. The I129f seemed easier than this.
1 thing, you do not have to file this with the USCIS. The beneficiary brings this along with other supporting documents for the I-134 to the interview and the counselor will read it and verify the documents. Also, a more straight forward answer in part 7 would be, Check 38 with Intend and then write Full support K1 Visa.
Appreciate the help with this. This helped addressed some grey areas I had in the document. :) I dislike the fact that even the more recent documents out now still have blank fields you have to fill out with a pen (like apartment numbers, or if your mailing and physical address are different). It's easy to miss these details after printing.
Dude, it is scary the amount of errors you have. Part 1, #3...you enter the street address where it asks for In Care Of. You added a Province and Postal Code which doesn't exist in the United States. I had to stop after 5 minutes before if you are that messed up (or lazy) then I do not want to follow your instructions. I hope that no one that follows you gets an RFE or has issues.
I have had three successful k-1 visa petitions and I ALWAYS checked the box for "do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person"
Thank you so much for this detailed step by step help really appreciate it was having a hard time with the Intent to support my fiancé didn’t really know how to word it correctly I was also noticing that the form is expired even though it’s one from the website I’ve been wondering if I should also do that I 864 just in case
Hey, I have a question. After filling out the form (I am the sponsor) and acquiring the documents from my bank and employer, do I need to mail those to the USCIS? Or just print for the beneficiary to bring to the interview?
@@jrodriguezvp, I found out that they don't need to be mailed in, just bring with to the interview in case they ask for them. They didn't ask us, but some people got asked.
I have a question. If you meet the income test why do you have to provide additional assets information (stocks, house, car (not sure if this counts) ?
I'm looking at you video isn't where the section states (sponsor's mailing address) 3a. In care of Name: Isn't this where your name goes? The reason I'm asking is I notice you inserted an address. Please confirm.
You're right. The person who receives mail from the address name would go there. So you would put the Sponsors name there not the address. The person in the video needs to correct this.
Thanks for providing information on this, especially regarding the last part concerning the additional information required for item 38. Also from your advice and others it seems that this form is a lot more lax than the I129F, not requiring "N/A" in every blank, just leave it blank if not needing to be answered. I'm accompanying my fiancee to the interview and and hoping that they won't even ask for this but it always helps to be over-prepared especially when dealing with the US government. Much appreciated.
Hey guys! Thank you very much for your interesting videos, they are very useful. I have a similar situation with my wife We also have a K1 visa process Please, can you list in detail what documents we need to apply for the green card? Do I need to re-take a medical commission? Can I file a work permit form with the documents on the green card? Thank you very much for your help.
I work full time I make above the poverty level and definitely can support my fiance I do live check to check and don't have anything in my savings or checking account will this be an issue?
Hi K1 Fiance Visa Chanel. Our I-129F is approved now. Where are we going to submit the I-134? IS it during my interview here in Manila, Philippine Embassy? Or does my fiance need to submit this first to USCIS? Thank you!
The yearly income of my fiance for 2020 was under the poverty guidelines level. But this year 2021 she a got a new job with a yearly income meets the poverty guideline level. My intervew will be in 2 weeks, So do i need a sponsor ?
I am trying to petition my Mom that lives outside the US. I just submitted my I-130 and my I-864 to the addresses stated on the USCIS website WHERE TO FILE. Do I still need to submit another I-864 to NVC after my I-130 gets approved by USCIS?
Hi good morning. I have question regarding page 4 part 3 number 38. Its says if you choose intent you should put some answer to page 8 part 7 right? But my problem is my fiancee missed to answer it and he already send me the original copy with wet ink. What we should do? My interview date is on march 18th? Any advice will help a lot. Many thanks.
What if the sponsor (me) does not have a job at the moment. I have been in recovery from illness for the past year and previously studying for four years. I have a co-sponsor who will be, well..co-sponsoring my fiance. As I do not have a job, will it become an issue? Or am I okay as long as my co-sponsor is above the poverty line and includes the documents that are required. Thank you so much for such a helpful video!
Hi, so my fiance meet the requirements to sponsor me according to the poverty chart but he does not own a house, he lives ina big ranch with his parents, we are not planning to get house until I am eligible to work. would this be a problem?
We submitted the form I-134 after the 129f petition was approved. The US petitioner fills it out and signs it with ink. We also attached supporting evidence like pay stubs, employment letter, W2s, tax returns and bank statements.
@@TheKevinEatonChannel as far as I understood from the uscis website, the form along with the supporting docs should be mailed to the beneficiary. The beneficiary then takes it with him/her during the interview.
Do I, the US citizen petitioner have to mail a physical copy of the I-134 to my foreign fiance so that she can use it on her interview? Or can I just email it to her? Do they need the original with a signature?
Thank you for this video, My fiancee from hawaii and i am from India she has filed k1 and we have received NOA1, my question is does she need to file i134 to USCIS when it is asked or she will jus fill this and send it to me directly?
So I have applied for K1 I-129F already but i haven't done form I-134 yet What should i do now, take it with me to the interview or they will ask for it
thanks , it seems it takes a while, my neighbor friend also went last year in june on k1 visa and applied for green card, he is also waiting . I hardly talk to him because he is busy with his job but I will inform you as soon as he gets it . all the best for your green card
Hi ... Im the petitioner and i have a question about the paperwork required for us to take to the consulate at ciudad juarez . What papers / documents do we need to take with us to the interview ar Cd. juarez for the k1 visa ? Do we need to take the I-134 ? and which others ?
I have a question here, I am a US citizen, I need to fill the I-134 and I got I-129F approved for my fiance but I fear they will decline it because I do not have a legal job here in Argentina which I have been living here almost 2 years with my fiance and I am certificated mechanic in USA. Who else can fill this form I-134 or ONLY me?
Do i submit this form along with my k1 visa folder or do i send this with my fiancée when she goes to her interview ? Because im confused if i send this in my folder or if i only send this with her on her interview

Hello. This is regarding about filling up the information of beneficiary parent's part for my beneficiary. I want to know if I should put her stepdad as her parent because her mother was a single mom before . Do I put write down her stepdads information too or just her mother? Or should I put unknown/NA regarding her father's info? Thank you. I hope you will be able to answer my concern.
Hi Hady! Good to hear that our videos have helped you. Regarding your question, I am not 100% sure but I would write down whatever says on your birth certificate. If it only shows your mom then keep it like that and leave the dad part blank. Either way what the USCIS is trying to look for in this form is the ability of the US citizen to support the fiance economically. The other information you write on the forms is to identify the people applying for the visas.
my question is, i became a citizen by my mom after she petitioned me when i was 17. i only got a passport, but there was no certifications or naturalization. so which one should i be checking?
When using this form for a k-1 visa, for question no. 38 where it states I intend, or I do not intend, to make specific contributions...) As the primary petitioner what do I select? and if you use a joint sponsor what do they select?
Plz i have a question my interview is pretty soon my fiancee is below the income required to support me she get about 17k annualy but she has the ssi which us 750 monthly can she gather together at the case of annual income in the form
Hi thanks for your help.....im a U.S. citizen n my fiance is in the Philippines....so can i e-mail my I 134 form with supporting documents to my fiance .....i want to sign the last page of the I 134 form n scan it n email it with the rest of the document pages
Hi Evan. I am assuming you are the US petitioner filing the form. You would just write down his name, his relationship to you (son), and check if he is fully dependent or partially dependent on you. Remember based on the number of people in your household that depend on you, you must look at the poverty guidelines for 2018 and you must be above the 100% threshold mentioned on their website (aspe.hhs.gov/poverty-guidelines).
K1 Fiance Visa Channel ..he doesn't live with me and I don't claim him as dependent on my tax return..do I still need to list him as a member of the house?
K1 Fiance Visa Channel . He doesn't live with me and I don't claim him as dependent on my tax return. However, I pay child support. Do i still need to list him as a member of the house? If yes, do I put partially or wholly?
Yes then list him. He still depends on you even if he doesn't live with you. You put partially if there is someone else providing for him or wholly if his only income support comes only from you.
You should fill out in the blanks below indicated that part of the form who you rely on for income. Like parents for example. Without it, you'd be below the poverty line and cannot support a fiance.
Hi Ateatoulah! The US petioner's income has to be above the US poverty guideline levels. You can look at the numbers on this website: aspe.hhs.gov/poverty-guidelines For a household of two people, the guideline is $16,460. Good luck!
Good afternoon, Can you help me with a question, please? At the time of my original submission of the K1 visa, I was employed as a graduate student making above 23k a year. Unfortunately the paper work took almost the entire year, and now I am graduating... and looking for permanent employment. I have no doubt that i will fined employment in time, but it will most likely be closer to the consulate appearance if not after it. I do have savings, but i don't know how to fill the form out, and if they will even look at it if it says "unemployed". What should i do? Will getting a co-sponsor help? Thank you.
Hi, The requirements are that you need to be making above whatever the income poverty guidelines are. If you have no job or form of income it might be a problem. I believe getting a co-sponsor will look better. Good luck.
Also she lives with her parents and a brother but they don't depend on her for money because they have their own job. So it doesn't count as her parents and brother dependent on her?
Ha thank for that video what I need to know is on page 4 of 8 # 38 what if I am getting married to my finace after her arrival what do I have to click intend or do not or leave it empty please can u tell me that
Hi Sunny, We checked on intend because my fiance (US citizen) has to prove that she was able to support me while I waited for the working paper and green card. Good luck!
