@@christopherwalls4337 Yes. There are two pertinent scriptures. Leviticus 23:23-32 talks about the day of atonement. It is a special Sabbath day celebrated during the day of the TENTH. But the day begins the previous evening at sundown. As verse 32 explains "you must afflict your souls on the NINTH of the month in the EVENING. From evening to evening you should observe your sabbath." So two evenings are involved, the ninth and the tenth, for a single Sabbath day. So right up front, we have to ask just when does the date change? Well, first, the Egyptians changed the date at midnight. So that's one possibility. The second consideration are the seven days of unleavened bread. Those seven days begin on the fourteenth in the evening (Exodus 12:18) The 1st day and the 7th day are Sabbath days. So the same applies. The first Sabbath day was thus from the fourteenth in the evening to the fifteenth in the evening. So when does the date change? Passover ends at midnight when the angel of death arrives. And Passover is always celebrated on the fourteenth, not the fifteenth. No problem if the date changes at midnight. Another hint of a date change at midnight is the command to end Passover "at morning." Thus they are calling midnight "morning" just like we call 12:01 a.m. morning. So at this point, changing the date at midnight is clearly an option. What is more important though is that the day the Israelites left Egypt is celebrated on the 15th. So Jesus must have been arrested on the 15th. There is no way around that.

One, what the Egyptians did is largely irrelevant, since Israelites are to be distinct from all other peoples. Second, I don't think anything you've described removes the possibility of the date changing at 7pm. I think you are conflating the command to leave nothing leftover from the passover meal until morning with the plague occurring at midnight. The two words are different in the Hebrew. Morning does not mean midnight. Ex. 16:7 says the people will see the glory of the LORD "in the morning" because the ground will be covered in manna. The people were not all getting up at midnight to see bread on the ground, but at sunrise. Just like the manna, the passover meal was only supposed to be as large as needed for that one evening meal. Any leftovers needed to be burned. They didn't need to be burned at midnight, but needed to be burned after the meal so none was left over until morning. I agree with your original assessment: I don't think this changes anything. Just my take on the information you've provided, but there doesn't seem to be anything that directly points to midnight as the time of date change. 7PM seems reasonable, and I'm not entirely sure 6PM is out either. @@christopherwalls4337 OK, great. The date changes work at 7 pm for sure, or midnight. Never 6 p.m. But if you change the date at 7 pm (night fall) then Jesus still gets arrested on the 15th. That's the issue. It's the 14th from 6-7 pm, then it turns into the 15th. So Jesus was arrested on the 15th. So that works. It's possible the custom was to consider the date change at 7 p.m. Interesting the date change at midnight didn't go over.

The OT is.....Psalm 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The Word is the word, but in it are the mysteries of the real truth. We have to become like private investigators, looking at every detail, researching & comparing all there is, and remembering which came first, the chicken or the egg? Did Jesus come first or God (Yahuah) come first? We have to go back to the words of the Father in the OT (the entire foundational basis of what we were taught in Christianity via the NT), realizing that without the truthfulness of the OT, there could not be a NT. NT does not exist as a "stand alone" book! (It's an adjunct to the OT.) Ezekiel 37:21-26 written ~400 years "AFTER" DAVID'S DEATH (not before)! 22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and ONE KING SHALL BE KING TO THEM ALL: and they shall be NO MORE TWO NATIONS, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all: [**NO MORE JEW & GENTILE] 23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I WILL SAVE THEM out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and WILL CLEANSE THEM: so shall they BE MY PEOPLE, and I will BE THEIR GOD. 24 And DAVID MY SERVANT shall be KING OVER THEM; and they all shall HAVE ONE SHEPHERD: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. 25 And they shall DWELL in the LAND that I have GIVEN unto JACOB my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and MY SERVANT DAVID shall be their PRINCE FOR EVER. 26 Moreover I will make a COVENANT OF PEACE with them; it shall be an EVERLASTING COVENANT with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them FOR EVERMORE. 27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 28 And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do SANCTIFY ISRAEL, when MY SANCTUARY shall be in the midst of them FOR EVERMORE. **WHO does EZEKIEL say will be: •ONE KING SHALL BE KING TO THEM ALL •BE THEIR ONE SHEPHERD •DWELL in LAND of JACOB WITH THEM •ENJOYING THE EVERLASTING COVENANT of PEACE "FOR EVERMORE"?? Do these verses say Jesus or DAVID?? *Note that the Father also clearly says HE HIMSELF WILL SAVE THEM & CLEANSE THEM, NOT Jesus or David.....Messiah means ANOINTED ONE!! Many Saviours were sent over time to save Israel from herself, but she continued walking in disobedience!! If Ezekiel wrote this prophecy ~400 years AFTER DAVID'S DEATH....this prophecy has yet to take place! Prophets ONLY PROPHESY about FUTURE EVENTS, not past ones that have already happened!
