I may have missed something (a commercial popped up just before the splicing part), but were the cut angles at the end of each piece (from front of room to back) 135 and 45 or the other way around?

I had to go back and watch the video. I'm not sure if I understand the question,but against the wall, I believe it's a 45° then dobbed off the other way at a 45° making a 90° angle to fit in the corner. Try taking small cut-off pieces and experimenting with the ends until you get the right angles. Then, once you have the ends figured out, set your test pices in place and then take the full measurements. I always nibble a little away at a time and keep checking it. Would hate to take too much and have to recut it or stuff it with caulk. Hope that helps. Feel free to ask any more questions. These things can get tricky

I have a very quick question. My contractor put the wrong color Cap a Tread treads on 4 of my basement steps. What is the best way to remove the already installed 4 treads and put the correct ones in place? Waiting for your wisdom. Thank you in advance.

Well, you may have to take them out in sections. If your installer glued the treads( which they should have) and if they Installed the risers on top of the treads, then it might be difficult to pull the treads out without ruining the bottom of the risers. In this case, you may have to cut the tread longways a few inches in front of the riser. That way, you can slide a Sawzall or oscillating tool under the rest of the tread to cut nails or remaining glue. Then, you should be able to slide the rest of the tread out from under the riser. Next clean up any glue or dust. And glue the new treads back in place. If you have a tough time getting the new treads under the old riser. Try taking a sander and beveling the tread long ways on the bottom where it slides under. Tilt it up slightly and work it back in. If this doesn't fit your situation, feel free to send me some pics at youfloor.net@gmail.com . Thanks for the question

No. That would make a good video. Per graham stephan 😁 we are going to rent both sides out. There is actually 6 units and they all need major help. Most are rented right now. Need to get the right side fixed up. Thanks @craigstahl for checking in. And for the comment. Don't forget to check on the progress . We are almost 💯

How do you finish a top stair wood to carpet transition at the landing? The landing is flush with no bull nose. Don’t want to start the project until I know how to finish it. Any help is appreciated. .
@YOUFLOOR

If the carpet is at the top and you are doing wood steps. Does the carpet roll over on to the 1st step at the top. If so I would cut the carpet long so it hangs over. Then when you run you run your last riser you Canucks and roll the carpet over the riser to create a small carpet bullnose. Use a carpet stapler. If the carpet is already cut flush at the top you may have to to use a corner molding to cap it off. Let me know if that helps. If you need more answers feel free to send me some pics to youfloor.net@gmail.com thanks for the question
