Oh great, my 2007 Mazda 3 has both the wires in full black, so tracking the wire back is gonna be difficult. I've checked and re-checked, but the wires are definitely completely black. I might still order a reverse sensor kit and connect it right at the top right near the reverse light. Thanks for the video
The easiest way to check which is the reverse light is to get someone to put the car in reverse while you use a electrical tester on the wires. There are loads of electrical testers you can use. To check if you have the right wire get someone to engage reverse and then disengage reverse. You will see straight away which wire is the right one. Thanks for watching.
Hi Touseef - there are loads of kits out there that will work perfectly with the mazda 3. The following link is one that I found one ebay which is exactly the same as what I fitted: www.ebay.com/itm/402978385937?hash=item5dd3623011:g:dTsAAOSw6CpjtN8~&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4EvN3PARsDcofiNEkbXI06t7IAPGs3elGvSyfCJ1PENrhItp7vfLzY%2BC22Wtk9grFbtDtdeHAOYakjAWfuCmFVTrOe9Ypdp0z9MP3h2DfYsnNCOVVrH5aJrNtW7vMWxlwnH2xf828%2BgCXlRqIfhi%2FTxfrSsAHN%2BMieyXLVs5n0y5xAN7KsV36Mj9kV57AcFhbvIZHEIuaNa1hRBv%2FlhYtPD%2BcpIJQjCHm1uD8hyGJieEUKfoG1yeNmqBrX27B67YoBKFJzvPScX%2BwB3atjPOyzdsZKL39B%2FhTe1tv%2B3%2B6zG9%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR77j65_gYQ This one however is black, so if you are wanting to colour match, have a look around and find one the same colour as your car, or alternatively get some touch up paint and paint the sensors. I wouldn't expect it to impact the sensors. Let me know how you go. Thanks for watching.
I went to Jaycar and bought some electrical car wire, it was really cheap. You buy it by the metre and in whichever colour you need. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
@@alexcooper2581 I just connected the positive (red) to the reverse light. I found it far easier to connect the negative (black) wire to a negative connection point that was far closer to where the sensor box was positioned behind the car interior cladding. It is slightly easier just running the one wire all the way back to the reverse light rather than the two wires.
@@ShrawanRegmi I installed the reversing camera on a VW Golf (check out my other videos) and used a camera that replaced the rear number plate light. It was quite an easy install.
@@HowtoMan hey man.. have you installed front sensors too? If so is it easy and how did you do the wiring.. and do you the colour of the brake wire and maybe accessories wire?
@@ShrawanRegmi Hi Shrawan, I have considered doing front sensors, but have decided against doing it. It should be an easy job as all you need to do is to put the sensors in, and run the wires, however you would need to wire the positive to a switch inside the car so that you can turn the sensors on and off. That would be unless you want to keep them on all the time which may be a little annoying if they started going off every time you passed a car on the highway.
You can fit these reverse sensors to any vehicle. They are all the same, and work off a 12v battery. Just make sure you hook into the reverse light so that they only come on when you put the vehicle in reverse. Thanks for watching.
Mate, I did this a long time ago. From memory, I believe the point where I connected the black wire is under the earthing bolt that you see at the part of the video shown at 10m 30s.
