A BRIGGS and STRATTON INTEK Engine 6.5 horsepower. SIDE SHAFT MODEL on a Craftsman ROTOTILLER (Same as on Pressure Washer , Generator , Minibike , Scooter , Go Kart cart). Tiller has been sitting OUTSIDE for too long in STORAGE. What's wrong? WILL NOT Start or Run. COMMON PROBLEM FIXED! WATCH the Fuel system and CARBURETOR get Cleaned and Rebuilt and fixed. How to Rebuild and Repair a dirty Carburetor Diagnose and Troubleshoot. Choke test and inspection gas leak leaking petrol lines replaced. Hard starting. I have this tiller. I bought it 21 years ago. I had to replace a leaking fuel line this summer, and the fuel hose connector. Now it won't start. I have a carburetor kit on the way. I've cleaned the carburetor before, but I'm sure I need to replace the seals this time. Your video was very helpful. I didn't know those three holes were there. I'll make sure to clean them out this weekend. Thank you.

Excellent instructional video !! This is exactly the motor I have on my tiller. Mine will only start with starting fluid, but will not continue to run. Your photography is very well done and helpful, especially in showing the tips and intricacies with the small orifices. I will be dismantling & rebuilding my carburetor tomorrow. Spray carb cleaner over tub. Reuse spray with scrub and soak parts. Firestarter- DON'T dispose.

Rusty fuel tanks is reason for all the rust in carbs They have to be really clean and I use white vinegar, I use 30/35 gallon a year in shop

Hi Jeff..I've been working on small engines since 11 years old.I used carb cleaner also..don't really like the stuff but you must use if you want to get the carb clean when I get one that looks as bad or worse than the one you have I soda blast it..it really cleans it well then l blow it out with air and blast it with carb cleaner..the carb is as clean as it was when it was new..just started doing that about a year ago and have saved a lot of money on carb cleaner still use the carb cleaner but not as much..just a thought..cheers.

Ashurii. I use a ultra sonic on carbs that are in good condition it works well also..I put Castrol super clean in it and let sit in it for a few hours..looks like new when finished..happy thanksgiving..

I still keep a can of acid just in case But vinegar and ultra sonic cleaner works on most Tanks have to be cleaned good or replaced

Man my neighbor just gave me this exact tiller..has been setting for 10 years with old gas..it looks showroom condition but wont start..i seafoamed the fuel and carb for a hour..still wont start..tomorrow im going digging at those 3 holes..thanks alot..also my part # 591299 doesnt give me much parts..is there another part that will work for this thing

I have this engine on a 14" craftsman rear tine tiller. It runs well; however, the older I get the harder it is for me to pull start it. I would like to add a 110/120v electric start to it. Any suggestions on which starter kit to use, and which flywheel to replace the original with?

What helps cleaning a carb is using ultrasononic cleaner. This makes cleaning easier. Just for my info how come you don't show your face on camera?. I find it more enjoyble when I can see who I am viewing. No offence.

im working on an engine like that and my yard is a mess, so my dad called it a south phoenix shityard and if he saw your backyard he would explode (edit) can i have some tips for working on my intek190 so my i can build a go kart with it because i put gas in it and the spark plug is sparking but it wont start and the engine has not been started since june 2009

I have this exact engine on my craftsman yard trailer, it’s a leaf vacuum setup, thing sat for a year with no gas in it, put fresh fuel in it and it ran mint for 5 mins straight then randomly died and won’t start, and it’s always started every 2nd pull anytime. Took carb off and it was clean as a whistle, so I still cleaned it but no luck, and it has spark, looking for help lol

@@JeffsLittleEngineService I meant a view of a correctly assembled one to use to fix mine! 😀 Oh yes, I've taken the fuel tank off several times, but I haven't touched the governor or any other linkage under it, I've just done some basic cleaning and carburetor work on it!

...Craftsman didn't make these..in fact, they have never actually made anything..contract produced by AYP(now Husqvarna/Electroluxe owned)....and yes, transmissions are junk..on the Craftsman's, Husqvarna versions, Rally, and all the other brands they made these for...
