I did this repair to a 2001 Passat 1,8t, but that engine is inline (not transverse) unlike your Audi. I had to drop the subframe down quite a bit to get the pan out in that car. Yikes! Great video BMAC. It should help many owners.
Another tip, when you have the oil strainer clogged like that, remove it and cover it in oven cleaner and leave for 24 hours and then clean of with brake cleaner or carb cleaner, it works a treat
My sons 1995 Mark 3 Astra's oil light is constantly on, it's got enough oil but has a slight oil leak from the sump seal. Hopefully when I sort it all, the light will go out. Thanks for the info in the video.

My oil light comes on every so often when I run my car at low RPMs. It quickly goes away when I start driving and never stays on for a long period of time. Would doing this fix my problem? Or would it be from something else. Hope you can help.
Mo I went and cleaned the Oil sump and Pick up after watching this. When my last turbo blew (previous owner) They cleaned the sump as well, but put to much silicone when putting it back and it clogged the pick up. after cleaning it, there is no more oil light.
My 2012 VW cc t 2.0 won’t start this morning ( low oil pressure light comes on ) says stop! It has plenty of oil! Does have a recall for fuel pump. Could this be the problem???? Gonna buy new oil pressure sensor and change it.
