1988 k5 blazer. Low beams ontop of high beams. Low beams work great, but about 2 min after I turn on my high beams all four head lights after flashing. New batteries meaning I have two. New alternator all grounds are good and new light switch. Any idea what's causing it?

Cool! Have Daytime running lights, these work flawlessly...but when I "move the switch to the highbeams, they begin to flicker. It makes sense that the switch could be bad.

i have a 2004 pontiac grand am and my head lights and dash lights flicker only when idling and its like a rough idle! but once i take off it seems to go away but returns at a idle!! could it be the voltage regulator has gone bad???

2009 Chevy impala The passenger headlight works sometimes but not other times. first thing I did was, replaced the bulb. got to check plugs, and fuses next. then the switch.

Good advice on headlight switches 1:40 , but I had flickering lights in my car , all lights , thought alternator was dying , but first I cleaned battery heads , everything was ok after that ,... to find if your battery heads cause the problem, measure the voltage between the REAL two battery heads and measure voltage between the two metal connections attached to the real battery heads ...if they are different , battery heads should be cleaned and tightened

Yes sir thanks for the information...i already checked those connection and alternator and all seem to be ok...my problem is at the fuse box and headlight relay when I pushed down on the relay the headlights turn off when I let go they stay switched on...even when I remove the inside headlight switch the headlights stay on...could it be my fuse panel the one that is bad...thanks in advance...

My 2004 trailblazer problem ended up being relay fuse number 46. Took the fuse out and tightened the pins. Worked for me and stopped the headlight flickering

03 sonoma battery and alternator are good. got a new head light switch since I needed one. the switch works great now but lights still flicker. grounds are good. but I have seen another video on here a guy as adding another wire to the male plug for the alternator and running it to the battery. I know there is another metal tab on the female plug of the alternator but I'm sceptical on doing that because the factory didn't make it that way and I don't want to get up one morning and see the truck in flames. you ever heard of doing that.

HELPPPP.... Before I replaced the fuel pump on my 94 silverado c-1500 2wd 5.0 the gauge would go way past the full mark and it would run out as soon as it hit the red for reserve on gauge. Ok now I had to replace the fuel pump and now my gauge isn't working at all and my headlights will go to flashing at times. Any ideas?? Thanks for any help!! Just hitting for any help I can get. I've replaced all of that on my truck and still doing it. They really only do it when I'm driving. Dash also flickers with it. Especially if the ac is on

5 months ago I had the battery checked and the alternator the problem never stopped even with a new battery did not replace alternator hooked my voltmeter up to it and everything shows all good so you think it's the light switch then it's an 08 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 I'll tell you what last week I was driving it lost all gauges I put a ground strap from the braided one on the firewall on the driver side to the alternator and all my gauges oil pressure came back and everything's working fine now now the only thing that's not working is the lights dome light and headlights are still flickering and my amp gauge is still all over the place but the other stuff is all cleared up oil sending unit had no oil pressure all of those problems cleared up with that ground strap that I put in but the flickering lights have not where do I go I'm disabled and don't have the money to spend at a repair shop

What year is your car? January 12, 2005 Chrysler put out a service bulletin. Here it is. www.wkjeeps.com/misc/LX/TSB_300C_Forums/TSB_1800305.pdf The dealer in my city said they see a lot of these cars that need their computer updated. Not just what is on this bulletin. Yes my headlights/dashlights pulsating and the car even runs better. I didn't know it was running bad. It just runs better with better response now.

alternator is new, battery is new, light switch is new, dimmer switch is new. But turn on high beams and after about 2 minutes the lights start flickering.. So this video was of no help

My headlights flickered for a fraction of a second, and very occasionally, maybe three or four times, when I was driving these two nights. Other than that, the lights seemed to be working normally. I checked both relays and they seemed good. This forum guy called "Tester" says : " The flickering lights might from a failing rectifier in the alternator. The rectifiers convert AC voltage to DC voltage. When a rectifier fails, it allows an AC ripple voltage into the vehicles electrical system causing the lights to flicker. I was thinking a failing rectifier in the alternator might cause the lights to be flickering regularly, and not occasionally as in my case. Other than that, I was thinking it might be the lights switch stalk on the steering column. However, switching the stalk on and off when the car was stationary, the lights seemed fine.
