I had this with Disney +, Prime and others last night. None of your suggestions worked. What DID work, was unplugging the TV from the wall for 60 seconds and plugging it back in. I had this problem with our living room TV which is an LG OLED connected to Apple tv. I have the same set up in the bedroom with a smaller model of the same tv with Apple tv, which was working perfectly. I first tried swapping out cables. It made no difference and the cable from the living room worked fine on the bedroom. I also switched out the Apple TV's. The living room Apple TV played in the bedroom LG OLED just fine. This told me the problem was the TV itself. I verified its software was up to date. Turning it on and off with the remote made no difference, which I expected. So I unplugged it from the wall for 60 seconds to clear anything lingering. Plugged it back in and tested all the streaming services. No more HDCP error. So your suggestions were good, but you might want to add "Unplug the TV/monitor from the wall for 60 seconds" to your list of suggestions.

I’m using a hdmi cable in my van, along with the adapter to connect to my iphone. I want to play downloaded content. Disney+ will only play some of the content; other content says, “Can’t play on external device.” I’ve done all the things you have suggested here, any other advice you can give? Remember, it will play some content but not others. For example, it will play 1967 Jungle Book, but won’t play Moana movie. Thank you for your help.

Enough with the checking for damage on HDMI cables. Nobody’s HDMI cables damaged. And HDMI cable just sits in the back of the unit doesn’t freaking move. I’m sick and tired of people telling me is the HDMI cable damaged. Just so you don’t have a solution.

Just listen to how dumb these solution are. You said if the problem persist just unplugged it and plug it back in again. But the very definition of “persist” means that it will happen again, so you have not solved the problem. The problem is not the single occurrence, the problem is the repeated occurrence. So this video is absolutely positively useless. You do not know how to solve this problem - the reoccurrence, so don’t make a video.
