I did everything at last i changed the carburetor. With new carburetor after driving when I park after half an hour there is fuel drop on tip of drain tube end.
Great video. I encountered the same problem on a Kawasaki 900 on two carbs. I just slipped small fuel line over cracked copper tubes ( has to be a snug fit ) and cut tubing off at top. Has to be cut level with top of copper tube !! Worked perfect and it was a simple fix.
Thank you very much for another informative video. As an electronics hobbyist I am very pleased to see you using/recommending high quality tools such as Kester Solder and Weller irons. It shows your knowledge and professionalism once again!
These Honda carbs are really bad for cracking like this. I've had to repair a bunch of them for this reason. I have been using a thin brass sleeve with fuel compatible epoxy slid over the existing tube which has worked well. Another idea for you!
i have a honda carb with a leak in the sleeve as well, mine was unfortunately self induced, dropped the bowel when i took it off to clean the carb after letting it sit up all winter with gas in it . Could you expand on what your doing with the sleeve and where you are getting the sleeve from? thanks
@@mikesc7356 You should be able to find some brass/copper tube at a hobby lobby or hobby shop in various sizes. It doesn't have to be thick. I cut it to the same length as the cracked tube and then put a very light coat of marine jb weld on it before sliding the sleeve over it.
Good info! funny cause i had a Super sport 750 that did the exact same shit. Never even thought to look at the vent tubes closer thanks for that tip now im going to inspect every float tube in every bike carb i work on!
Hi I had even worst problems with my drz 400e flat side carb the pipe just fell off so I got a replacement brass pipe from a train hobby shop and replaced it with new pipes with oem height. You did a great job as well. I have some tubes left just in case
I have 1 carb that has a bad overflow . I have tried swapping float bowls . I've adjusted float height .pulled emulsion tube and the other jets ? To clean with carb still on bike . New gaskets . Just cant stop it . Any ideas please
