Interesting thing, that video and official solution dont tel about disabeling "secure boot". Power off device, then power on with pressed "volume up" to enter bios setup, than find "secure boot" and disable it. Only after that you can proceed to the actions from that video. Hope it will be useful.

my cousins surface turns off when it reaches the "please wait while installing system update" then it starts in the window logo with the red lock on top then repeats pls help

Any luck? Edit: Changed two things and got it to work. Either wait for the battery to fully charge, or change the USB drive.

i cannot get past the NO BOOTABLE DEVICE screen nor can i get to the loading update screen im using a 64gb drive tho so that may be the issue

Do you get to the point where you see the red bar with the unlocked padlock on? Secure boot needs to be turned off for this to work and when mine got stuck on just the red bar, i saw my USB wasn't in correctly and i didnt delete the folders from the USB drive

@@MrWhizm Hey, did your surface ever work again? The same thing is happening to me, I disabled the secure boot and disabled TPM (i believe it was TPM, whatever was under secure boot). I disabled both of those, and my surface still goes to no bootable device. Could we move this to DM, so I don't have to type a lot in one message?

Mine just keeps getting stuck on the red lock and please wait while we start up your systeem, and does that in an endles loop getting kind of sick of this. Havend even had The device for les than 2 years😡
