FRS Killer same thing happened to me. I put water on my controller like in the buttons. I kept resetting it and it finally worked again but the light is different colors now like purple yellow etc. but now my buttons mess up

Do not use it on the plastic,,,,,,,, use the WD-40 on the mother board........ Try cleaning the mother board with WD-40 nt the ribbon...... in most cases the mother board gets damaged and not the ribbon......

Yes once my younger sister spilled some juice on my square button. It became really stiff and sticky so i had to press it hard for it to work. I literally just squirted sone wd-40 into the button without disassembling the controller and it worked lmao. You can try it aswell.

i use wd40. But bear in mine that it may not work with some water damage circuit, some are heavily water damage then some. When you are cleaning the circuit you should use the softest toothbrush you can fine cause you don't want to damage the circuit with a hard bristle toothbrush.Thank for watching let me no if it work for you.

did you clean the 2 side of the mother board and also check all the ribbons if they are water damage too if so and they are not water damage then the mother board is too heavily water damage so you need to change the mother board for the controller

@@moizrehman5472 I wasn't able to get the controller to charge at all, or turn on before I repaired it. After taking it apart and cleaning it with alcohol and lubing parts with WD-40, it turned on and held a charge. Unfortunately, just a few hours after posting my comment, it stopped working once again and would not turn on or hold a charge without being connected to the charging cable. I did some troubleshooting using parts from another controller and discovered that I need a new motherboard. Now, my controller does work when it's connected to its charging cable, but only when it's connected to the PS4 via charging cable. If I unplug it, it becomes obsolete again. I have 2 other controllers that I repaired using other tutorials, so I'm still able to play games; just can't use the water damaged one until I replace the motherboard.

@@moizrehman5472 Yeah, some may find it more convenient to get a new or used controller rather than a new motherboard. There's a lot that goes into replacing the motherboard and even I have yet to decide if I will undergo the repair.
