Thank you! I didn't know that bobbin should have tension. Then I noticed that I threaded the bobbin thread not correctly. Thank you for great explanation!
OMG this saved my life!!! I found the smallest tiny lint in the bobbin holder just like you said. and removing that made such a big difference!! THANK YOU!
Thank You. I had just about decided to take my embroidery machine back and have it serviced after playing with the tension. Then decided to check RU-vid out and found you. And in less than 15 min. and the removal of a bunch of "thread dust" it's working great!! Thanks You!!
Thank you Mr. Lord! It's right before Christmas, and I still have sewing to do, and there's no way I would get this machine back from a dealer in time, and you saved me a lot of money. There must have been a bit of schmutz between the springs; problem solved! You made my night!!
Thank goodness for competent people!! I watched several other videos about how to fix or trouble shoot tension problems and they were useless. This video described very clearly what to look for. I had the problem of my embroidery suddenly pulling up the bobbin thread to the top of the fabric. When I pulled out the bobbin case and probed with a needle as Mr. Lord shows above, Presto! - out popped a small thread fragment and the PE800 returned to completing its normally beautiful stitching. I am very grateful for the help. Thanks so much.
Same here. Finally what I was looking for! Adjustments are not always from the top thread. I just didn't know how to get to the bobbin case. Thanks to this gentleman!
My upper thread was bird nesting heavily and this video gave me the courage to open the machine up where I was able to see a lot of thread wound up. Now it's fixed. Thank you!!
Thank you!! You Rock!! Hope you share more problems with the Brother machines, I have a babylock and needless to say the tech's get a lot of money for things like this that are so simple...thank you again!
Yesterday I watched your video on tension and did what you recommend Today my machine is running GREAT Thank you for your help I m using husqvarna epic 1
Thanks Keith. A very useful video to be able to refer to. Once again, free informative information - you really do go that extra mile. Thanks once again.
Brilliant Keith. Thank you for sharing this information it has certainly helped me to understand about the bobbin tension. That’s always scared me, but now when I need to I will refer to this video. Thanks again! X
This video is so helpful! I’m just starting out with my f440e and the bobbin thread was coming through the embroidery, this has given me a glimmer of hope! 😁
Thanks SO much - this was exactly my problem that has had me stumped for two days with jobs waiting... after cleaning behind the tension springs as you showed my bobbin tension suddenly returned THANK YOU! Have shared this in a couple FB groups to help others as well
Thanks so much for this help I had been fooling around with the upper 10 Thread tension for hours with no result your help fixed immediately my problem thanks so much for posting this video Brian
Wow! I am sew goad I found Keith Lord! My Destiny has been shredding, and I have done everything my local shop told me, at least 2 times. Two things Keith just explained were problems on my machine. The #6 issue, and the little hook in the bobbin case area both. Now to test.
You just explained everything I needed to know. Thank you. New on embroidery but a pro with my tensions on my long arm. Lol. Thank you. Loved your video n subscriber
Thank you Keith for all the videos you are doing for the V series. I have a V7, sometimes the automatic threader works then suddenly not. I have to hold the thread high in the air and at last second let go, sometimes that seems to do the trick, or I thread by hand, not ideal especially when embroidering!! I have watched your other video too so will get my son to look at it when he can.
thankyou - just had my machine professionally serviced but tension still wasn't right ( the test sample had matching colour bobbin thread) anyway the bobbin case was full of very fine dust and now its clean and much better tension. You know your stuff !!!
I have had a lot of problems with my bobbin tension on my dream 2. I continue to have puckering when doing satin stitches. I have done everything, change the needle, thread and trying to correct on bobbin casing, unsure what I am doing wrong. I have also cleaned the area as you showed in this video. Been to be serviced several times and was told there were no problems. So I'll try the suggestion in your video again to try and correct. Thank you for this video.
Thank you! I started having problems with my bobbin thread and couldn't figure out why. Your tutorial was helpful to learn how to clean the case. Lo and behold, there was a small piece of thread lodged somewhere and my practice stitches look perfect again. It was also helpful to understand the different thread weights for the embroidery only machines vs. the combination ones! I appreciate your taking the time to create this video for us!
This is a brilliant video thank you, my machine is just chewing up my thread and snapping needles for fun. Do you have any ideas what it could be please 🙏
Oh my. I got a v5 and I've been tearing my hair out. I thought it wanted to put the adjustable one in...cant wait to try it with the preset bobbin case now and see if it works properly!
As the name says he is the Lord. I have had more problem than I could ever tell you and have been driven to despair, I’ve watched others before finding Mr Lord and they were long winded and useless.m don’t waste your time watch Mr Lord. Thank you so much.
Thanks Keith for your fantastic videos I have learnt so much from you. In this one you mentioned 2 types of thread, was one cotton and one embroidery thread or were they both embroidery thread and if so why do you need to change the bobbin case. This bit confused me a little
Susan, there are two types of Brother bobbin fill for embroidery, the bobbin case is different for each one. You can read more about it in this blog: www.lordsewing.co.uk/blog/2014/07/21/the-mystery-of-bobbin-fill/
there is too much top thread on the underneath of my embroidery design. I am using a Janome 11000 MC any help would be greatfull. the other problem with my underneath tread is looping.
gracias amigo, tengo 5 broher 780, y cuando el hilo gasta la plaquita por donde pasa el hilo le hago con una lija para quitar la rayita que hace el hilio y me queda otra vez trabajando bien, muchas gracias
Hi Keith, I have the Innovis 4000D embroirdery machine. The top thread after embroidering is also showing on the wrong side . The white bobbin thread is not visible on the bottom side . Please help , kind regards
The videos posted on my channel go through the scenarios for top and bottom tension issues. Either your bobbin thread is too tight or top thread too loose by the sound of it. You could also read my blog articles which cover the issues -www.lordsewing.co.uk/blog/2014/07/31/know-your-thread-tension/
