My frame has the new FabriFast system that let's you push a length of tubing into a groove on the rail to secure the fabric. I have leaders and started out pinning but you're right about puckers and stuck fingers so I don't use them anymore. The only thing with my system is that I have to mark a straight line across the width of the fabric so the line goes in the groove to keep it all straight. It holds pretty tight and really works well. The best part is removing the quilt...just unroll and pull the tubing out. TaDa! No unpicking or pin removal. It's fabulous. I am still after those bar magnets. Northern Tools you said? Great idea on the knobs. Love the video!

THANKS SO MUCH.WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE GREAT MAGENTS? DID YOU REMOVE THE TOP BAR FOR THE TOP QUILT OR LEAVE IT ON THE MACHINE TO DRAPE THE FABRIC OVER IT.
Joyce Weaver when I'm doing a row I have the magnets holding the fabric down! I remove the magnets when I'm done with the row! The top bar I do use but put my back fabric... I have the back bar empty! With no fabric .. I hope I answered your question!
Jana Dodd I would call the company you purchased your machine! My leaders came with my machine.. but you can make your own or try red snappers they really help .. too..
