I had to forgive and humanize a close work friend. But I realized I never wanted to talk about the problem with her because I realized what is the point of back and forth conversation when you realize this person carry this personality that does not match your vibe anymore ? For context this friend hated my wedding makeup and she critiqued my wedding when she was at fault herself for why she had problems ! I removed myself completely from the friendship and life has been so amazing !

Okay God is extraordinary, after crying my eyes out and giving myself some pep talks I decided to turn the TV on and there you are talking about forgiveness. Thanks, Lucy❤ One will think grasping onto the victim role will make them know how much they've hurt you but it's mostly not like that. I can attest to the fact that this mentality will only drain and detour you from the good things life has for you.

Yes I thinking forgiving is so crucial as it also lifts off a burden from your heart, and even if the one that wronged you doesn't deserve it, you forgiving him/her will humble him/her.

I don't often comment on RU-vid videos, but this time I have to. I've watched countless videos by personal growth gurus, religion persons, therapists, monks, philosophers. I've read books, listened to podcasts. But nothing helped me as much as this video. Somehow, many of the things you said resonated with me. Especially when you said we need to make peace with the hurtful event, not necessarily with the person that harmed us. This is divine. My thoughts these past few days have centred around forgiveness and lightening the load. Even though I've forgiven in the past, it seems like it's a step by step process. Talking about it, processing it and releasing it from my heart.

I agree, sometimes forgiveness can be bouncing right back & other times it is a slow process. The fact that you have decided in your heart to go on that process/journey towards forgiveness is ABSOLUTELY amazing. Praying for healing ❤️‍🩹 for you. The burden on your heart, the pressure on your heart will become lighter once you’re not carrying the anger towards them anymore. I had to make that personal choice to in my own life & it’s been freeing. Wasn’t easy to do but definitely worth it long term

Thank you for talking about this. I never understood the whole 'you're setting yourself free by forgiving them...' i enjoyed being angry at my offenders, getting back at them gave me purpose. I cant say i have fully recovered but i think im doing much better, being busy and not having to think about them or meet them has helped i think. Even praying about them.. i dont know if that has worked as quickly as i expected it to. Even now thinking about it is angering me But... Thanks for bringing this out and talking about it. I believe that talking about things, Helps. Thank You.

I believe most people build resentment as opposed to hatred which makes them severely bitter & a victim. Depending on the circumstances, people who hate are envious (I.e internet trolls/haters). I find that people only hate if someone wronged them in an extreme case.

yesterday i wad mad at the Lord, because i couldnt heal from a past love. i randomely started speaking out loud today having a conversation with myself saying “you keep living in the past because you havent forgiven them yet, once you do you will be able to move on” and then it hit me! this wasnt me speaking, it was God giving me the answers!! so beautiful, i love you Lord🙏🩵
