The ideal video for this motor replacement. Excellent pointers on how and when to remove and replace the retainer clip were especially helpful.

Thanks bud your a life saver. One thing. My freezer had a wire shell in it that was inserted into two holes above the ice maker on the left and another pair of holes on the right side of the freezer. Had to use a pry bar to get the shelf out of the holes.

Excellent video. Not mentioned specifically (but implied) but if you’re wondering like I was it is not necessary to shut off the water supply before removing the ice maker.

Most excellent video! Thank you very much. It made changing my fan motor out very easy. I would suggest that you replace the two rubber bushings while you are changing the motor as they are only $3.00 each .

Our Evaporator Fan was making terrible noises with the temperature fluctuating in the fridge section. I removed the unit and found the grommet on the shaft side had partly disintegrated with bits falling into the fan shaft dome that rubbed on the shaft collar inside. I used a safety pin, a wire brush for car detailing and an X-acto knife to remove dozens of bits from inside the dome. That took 20 minutes. The rear grommet was OK, so I swapped front to rear grommets & reassembled everything. The fridge is now back to running without much perceptible noise of any kind and the temperature is stable again

5:03 How far should the fan blade be recessed relative to the panel? Does it matter?
