The video contained enough detailed information that even a non-tech like me could implement the repair with no difficulty. Saved me hundreds of dollars. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for this video. The new evaporator motor cost me about $42.00 and saved me the cost of a new refrigerator. Each step was perfectly accurate. I appreciate it so much. Thanks again.

Outstanding video! Carefully followed every step and my refrigerator fresh food compartment is back to 37 degrees overnight. Make sure to wipe up all the water from the ice that is most likely all around the bottom of the evaporator area--there was a lot of it in my fridge. Also an excellent time to clean up all the spills that have accumulated through the years your fridge has been being used. Echo the comments below about the video greatly reducing the chances of breaking plastic parts during disassembly. Bravo!

This is the best instructional video I have ever seen. It assumes nothing. The process is broken down into easily managed steps. There are other videos out there for this same repair which appear shorter but the steps are more difficult. I was able to complete the repair in 45 minutes start to finish.

Perfect! The best that I have seen on replacing any parts on anything. I had the motor to replace the noisy fan a year ago but stopped when it said the software had to be updated. Our best repair man will be here to verify my work. Thanks so much

My 5 YO GE Fridge was freezing the deli meat drawer but not blowing cold air to the rest of the fridge. Replacing this fan solved my problem thanks to this excellent video. The only issue I had was that while disassembling I found the wiring harness at the 2:40 mark already unplugged and had to guess whether it was intentional or an oversight. I decided to plug it in upon reassembly and so far it seems to have been the correct choice. Thank you for this excellent video and supply of the part.

Super helpful! When I noticed the food on the top shelves of my French Door GFE28GMKBES was not cold (above 50 degrees F) I had to troubleshoot. Suspected the Evaporator Fan was broke. This model of evap fan fits and the video clearly shows how to replace. Thanks to this video I replaced the part myself and I have a working fridge again. Many Thanks!

thanks so much for posting this! great video, helped get our fridge back up and running quicker than any repairman could have been here to fix it. my fridge was PFE28KSKBSS. it started making loud squeaky noises then temps went up. but freezer and even deli/fruit bins were fine. when i took it apart, the old fan was seized and squeaky, the new fan smooth and spun freely. temps were back down to 30s within ~ an hour.

Great video! Perfect explanations of sequence, and specific tools and placement to pry off covers. Without this video this job would have been much more difficult and increase chance of breaking plastic parts.

Thank you for the great video. Awesome step by step instructions probably saved me a $500.00 service call. Part cost me about 70 bucks and about half hour to replace. Perfect how to video.

Wow, fantastic video. I paid to have this job done the first time and now I did it myself the second time. Looks like we are on a 3-year replacement cycle for this fan. If your freezer is cold but your refrigerator is not, this is an easy fix for most homeowners. Give it a try.

Thanks! This worked perfectly for my GFE28GSKFSS fridge. My fan was exactly like you experienced in the video - it started spinning once I moved it around a bit, but it made a noise and had a spot where it would "stick" when I spun it. Had you not explained it like you did, I might've considered this to be normal. Thanks again!

Indeed, I found the process easy to follow, & I completed the repair in less than an hour. My refrigerator was fixed and has been operating as usual. Maintaining 37°. But I have to say this fan motor is the weak part of the refrigerator. This was 3rd fan motor, they last about 4 years. I now realize the noise I was hearing was the fan motor apparently going bad to failure. So I’ll need to remember to replace the fan motor again as soon as I hear the clicking/grinding noise.

Excellent video, thank you for sharing this - I would have bought the new fan from you but it was kind of an emergency. Diagnostic codes and tests were valuable to determine fan had failed, maybe you could show those if you haven't already.

Thanx for the video. My Fresh Food Evaporator Fan Motor is completely shot. I also get an error code that the Condenser Fan Motor Assembly can't get up to operating speed. I'll have to replace both....Saves a lotta $$ having a GE tech come and fix things....

Was about to buy another fridge after GE Appliance told me that they cannot repair because the fan is not available anymore ($120 fee still apply). Watched this video, bought the fan, fridge is working now. Do not see that much improvement for the current new fridges on market either. Thx.
