Unfortunately i get told to speak louder and i don't like it because i don't know how to control a loud voice without shouting. I really hate having to raise my voice to the point I'd rather just not talk....
Same! My voice is just too deep. Back when I was a teenager and I would get on the mic on games, a guy really thought I was a man… It’s bothering me now
None of these issues are my problem - I just have a weird voice. I can sing in tune, have a wide range (better on the lower end though) - I don't have throat tension, nor a breathy voice not nasal either, but the last few times I auditioned for a choir, they didn't want me.
HI there - It sounds like it could be just a placement, or resonance issue. Choirs are always looking for people to blend together well. So if your voice doesnt fit into the 'blend' mould, it may not be a good fit for you to sing in a choir. Why not find your own style and sing solo instead?

Improve mentality first, by getting used to your voice. Ask people, ask yourself what's needed to be change. Work towards that. That's what Im doing right now.

Same!! I've been told I have a great speaking presence. Unfortunately I also sound way too childish. Which is really problematic when I'm running my own businesses and want to be taken seriously 😒 Especially as I want to start breaking into podcasts. I know my voice has gotten a lot better since I started doing my YT vids, but I also know I still don't quite sound like an adult, lol

I totally get it Asansia. Smoking can really damage our body and our voice. You must tell your mum that she is robbing you of your right to fresh air and health if she is smoking around you. That’s not cool. Re your masculine voice , without hearing it - it’s hard to diagnose. In the meantime I hope you get a lot of value out of all the videos here.
