I have a stutter, so its already hard enough to talk to people, but Ive found that speaking more slowly not only makes me stutter less but also makes me feel more confident and in control. I would recommend that to everyone. Even if you think its uncomfortably slow, its probably still fine.

Really needed this , i used to be pretty good at speaking from the heart . I used to be really good at telling stories about anything the small things i did . The stories of me with my friends or siblings laughing, my thoughts on different things and my favorite things , or my goofg mistakes i made. I used to be pretty good at telling those things as stories but as i grew a bit older it faded . I dont think its gone just lost somewhere . I started to feel as though people would think my stories were weird or lame that i was just , cringy for lack of better words. Looking back my favorite memories are spent with friends telling stories and making more memories laughing and talking about our ideas and thoughts about things. It used to flow like water as you said , it was seamless i didnt even think about it til it disappeared. Im trying to relearn it for myself and for others i want to become a better person. I want that older portion of me back he was a funny guy honestly. Even looking objectively trying to paint things better or worse than they were i was just a joyous or wonderous person .making people laugh i didnt even talk to much.

you never let go, you accept that whatever happened to you is part of your story, events that will forge you into something greater, so you revisit the pain by writing about it, meditating and re-living those moments and allowing yourself to feel any emotion that comes back up, apologize to yourself for having that part of you rejected and suppressed for so long, forgive yourself and thank it for making it this far in life, and be consistent, growth is no overnight result, you will feel like nothing has changed at the first few practices but you will feel immense relief in the long term also look up how to heal your inner child and inner work overall, it's very insightful

Good advice. One thing that’s important to understand as well is the strategic use of silence. To be a good speaker is knowing when NOT to speak as well. When used correctly, it can increase engagement as the audience waits for what you have to say next, dwell and reflect on what you just said, and use to increase tension and suspense.

Wow, this video really brought something else to me, that I would never thought to hear. You see, I’ve always had a hard time speaking, always stuttering, muttering and mumbling some words, having voice cracks mid sentence, and just saying words that aren’t pronounced right. But after hearing this man talk about how you can speak more clearly and work on it, I was blown away, like I’ve never heard *these* words come out of someone’s mouth before. Because I’ve always asked friends and family on how to talk more efficiently and better understanding, but the way they explain it, it’s like listening to a mumbled voice, and when they were over, I just gave them a 👍’s up. But really after hearing this man talk, it was kind of like a hypnotic trance, and after watching the video, I got to work on making my voice sound more better and more clearly. So thank you and you have a good day, and I hope this message finds someone relatable as well 🙏

Sometimes we forget to structure our thoughts and put it into words. I find myself stumbling every now and then by simply forgetting about some word I couldn't recall. Practice this through writing down your thoughts, be it a piece of paper or your laptop. That will serve as your journal, if you do this more often than anybody else, your pre-frontal cortex would recall that memory so fast as if it's carved to your brain. It's one of the best ways I found to speak more confidently besides the tone and speed/flow of your speech, just a little something to add to this already amazing video.

Thanks SD. You save my English. I have found my voice, my tonality and my speech. I take my time before speaking and that's lit.

Yo. I'm 15 and u seem like a pretty healthy guy and I followed on insta and u have a pretty good physique, so I was wondering if u could make a video on like exercises to get some nice arms abs etc stuff like that, and maybe tips on a diet or what to eat generally because im kind of confused on that and I want to get into lifting and stuff etc, but I'm stuck to at home workouts for now tryna get really healthy etc, I love and enjoy your videos man they have some real good wisdom keep it up!

I was in speech and debate for my first two years of highschool. And in speech and debate, we are taught to speak quickly to try and cram as much information as we can into a speech only spanning between 2 and 10 minutes. With that I began to implement fast paced speaking into my everyday tone/dialect, and I didn't realize that I was talking as fast as I was. I always ended up taking at people as opposed to having actual conversations. But this was because I had gotten so used to it, that I failed to realize the speed and intensity at which I was speaking. Slowing down my brain has been one of the biggest things to help me, which is difficult because I have ADHD. I am so glad that I found your channel, and that you actually made a video about this because I recently became self conscious about the speed and intensity at which I talked. You have taught me that intentionality of thought and speech is one of the most valuable life skills that I can have. And I am working to improve in this regard every day. Thank you so much Shimon, much love coming from me!

I am super anti-social and grew up pretty much exclusively playing video games all day. I have co-op this semester and i'm dreading a job interview. I hope this video helps me build my courage.

I guess my issue still stems from stuttering. I have gotten a lot of compliments about my voice from straight up being compared to a jazz singer that i never heard of or telling me I have a radio/commentator voice. I still suffer from social anxiety and my job essentially makes me fake it till i make and i guess it works. I talk more slowly despite me freaking out on the inside and i guess that makes it more appealing

I needed this video....I'm an actor and I have this problem where I would put emphasis on certain words to a point where when performing I sound like I'm not in control of my voice. Funny story too: bacc in high school I would get comments on how rhythmic my voice sound. Subscribed💯
