FIX- iphone, ipad, ipod/not recognized/showing up when connected to my computer device and drives. Switch between drivers to get your apple device to show up under devices and drives. This works if you want to manually go in and get your videos and pictures off the device. You can always switch back to the other driver so your iphone shows up on your computer and works with itunes.

hey. i connected my iphone 6 to my windows 8. it shows under devices and driver. i click on it and it shows that graphic bar for the internal storage. but when i double click on it to browse through photos and videos it says the folder is empty.

Try and go into your iPhone settings under privacy and reset the privacy settings. Then unplug it and plug it back in to the computer and see if that works

Brett didn't mean to cause you any issues, this method is a bit older but still works for some people, I do apologize if it caused you any issues I never heard of it causing the internet to stop working, I have newer videos that might be more helpful, sounds like you probably have a newer computer system and iphone than what's in this video and that might be why..

@@jamiewagner this actually happened to me today and i noticed its because your mobile hotspot turns on immediately when connected to a pc (iphone 12) once you switch it off and allow your phone to "trust" your PC, AND follow your steps, you're winning. Most definitely will do! Do you have a video showing how to transfer large video files from an iPhone X max to a PC/laptop? I have a 2 hour video that I want to transfer to my Laptop and I can’t get the video to show up on my laptop when I plug in my iPhone X. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

not sure could be a number of issues, if you can get your iphone to show up then you should be able to get to that file
