I soak the henna in an iron pan overnight. In this way, the henna absorbs some iron in it which helps giving the hair a reddish look.

This is so confusing…I recently saw Khadijah reviewing a RU-vidrs video who stated that she left the henna overnight to develop and Khadijah said don’t do that because the dye release time has passed.. Mix messages here…

@@CoachAvellene I totally agree because in several of her videos she stresses to not over process the dye release time leaving it to sit overnight. She stresses continually that the proper dye release time of for henna is b/w 3 to 4 hours.

Hello. With our products, it is safe but henna treatments can only be repeated every 3-4 weeks. Color usually every 4-6 weeks and root touch-ups in between. We hope this helps!

If you're dealing with chemicals then you need to have a full chemical treatment on your hair BUT If you're trying to dye your hair naturally, then you've got to MAINTAIN THAT PROCESS FROM ROOT TO TIP of your coloring process. No mixing, if you don't want bad results.

@@multiverselogics When using pure henna powder (body art quality), and herbs for hair, you can use stainless steel bowls. Traditionally, they have used iron bowls, as it has shown to bring our more dye release. We typically use a spatula to mix it. We don’t usually use plastic bowls because they are porous, and the herbs will stain the bowl. The commercial boxes of henna, and henna “colors” that contain other ingredients, herbs, additives, metallic salts, etc..would more so cause reactions with metal bowls, then 100% pure herbs would.

Hello. Henna can sometimes fade over time as does any type of dye (weather and elements cause this or heat over time) and it also grows out so it’ll eventually come out on its own fully over time. Henna hair dye lasts 4-6 weeks but depends on hair growth. People choose henna hair dye as they do not want to use chemicals so this is a true natural alternative. U can, henna actually coats the hair more than depositing pigment. Goes off in few washes if u don't use regularly, but do not dye your hair if u using henna.

There’s no such thing as ‘black henna’. There’s either henna-indigo one step application or you’re not using natural henna, it’s got additives in it. Henna has been used on relaxed hair, before but imo it had a much stiffer appearance.
