In this video we talk about how to increase EV range by adjusting the way you drive your EV. Its amazing how much of a difference some simple driving style changes can make in the range of your EV. Things such as avoiding the use of friction brakes, avoiding rapid acceleration/deceleration, increasing following distance, and slowing your speed on the highway are just some examples of how you can maximize your EV range.

All great tips but no mention of the Conserve mode if you have a Rivian. Vehicle drops to 2 motors versus 4. Also, lowering the vehicle on highway helps with range but also prematurely wears your tires due to the toe in camber of the lowered suspension. Although these are great for extending range, and I used all of these items on road trips in my R1T. Funny thing is with EVs your always testing and experimenting, just a new way of driving and I like it. Well Done

I set my EV to ECO mode and shut off the climate control to gain more efficiency. Plus trying to keep speed under 70 on highway is challenging (other fast drivers and the urge to pass big trucks) . Thanks

All good tips. My work commute is about 120 miles round trip. I precondition because I supercharge on the way to work. I never really thought about precondition just to optimize the efficiency on road trips. I figured it’s a long trip, the battery will adjust its temps accordingly during the trip. And when it needs to charge it’ll precondition automatically
