This was a great discussion. So many conflicts, expectations, fears, shame, and anxieties are directly related to not communicating with the one person in your life that should be the easiest person to talk with. If one is embarrassed talking about such personal things, talking about it once even if you are uncomfortable with the topic will normalize is and make is much easier once you realize it was taken seriously by your partner. These types of discussions, which are limited to you and your partner are one of the elements that define the relations as being fundamentally different from than friendships you have. Once you have that conversation once, you will wonder why you were so reluctant in the past. Voicing your secret fantasies for example is freeing you from shame or fear.

Great topic! Married 18yrs here. Pre kids (5.5yrs) it was every night like just an assumed thing once we got in bed. Maybe one night off here and there. She brought toys into the bedroom fun and it made it fun and we figured out what each one of us really liked. After kids we push it off until Thursday because there's so much going on early in the week. Now after almost 20yrs together bedroom fun is still great. Straight to business though. She drinks wine to get relaxed, we hang out to set the mood, then when it's time for bed it's all good. 2-3 times weekly between Thursday and Sunday night is our average. My edging game is on point. She gets hers then me, or together depending on her ovulation days. We're keyed in on natural family planning to avoid "accidents". With a lot of life going on that's plenty for each of us and we look forward to it each week.

Sounds perfect. I actually cringed when she said that you have to schedule time for saturdays - that's exactly what I did with my ex and I was frustrated the rest of the week. Holiday trips were the worst, sometimes we had no privacy so it could cut to once per month. Tropical weather, skimpy clothed beautiful ladies all over and blue balls... ouch.

This is probably the first time, in my life of 38 years (almost) that, I felt that I am a sane man to think and be expressive about sexual pleasures and experiences and to encourage every woman I met and have indulged in eroticism. This is so important, to be open, share, explain, learn, to educate, to talk, to express and to encourage to the same about this. This is a relationship, short or long doesn't matters, this why it is called intimacy. It is sooo important for me to feel and see that my partner takes part in this actively and not because they have but, because want to. Thank you for this. I feel the length of the relationship does matter, because one is obviously happier if they and their partner are in a long term committed and happy relationship, and the sex is better and deeper, and much more personal and intimate. Sex won't mean shit if it's just a one-night-stand, or if your partner is an FWB.

Scheduling these moments is a great way to avoid the rejections when one or the other is not in concert with each other in a moments sexual desire. Being male and somewhat shy abour sharing my interest for fear of rejection, the "scheduling" creates a realistic expectation of this pleasurable time together. Timing and frequency is something that you work out in a relationship - be as open as possible when making these kind of communications to minimize miscommunications and failed encounters. Another great thing about scheduling is that it leads to more occurences of these sexual encounters - for us, we decided that we would strive for a once per week coupling so it's not hard to build that into your schedule and less random.

You both are 100% right! Communication is definitely where it is at! Expecting someone to read your mind or body language, definitely doesn't work 😕 I don't care for the word date night, had a lady that would tell me that going out the door in the morning and to tired to do anything when she home!!! I love to be a little more spontaneous!! The biggest and worst the about porn in most cases, is that it is way to one sided, the woman is never really satisfied, it all noise. I guess it's fine if your an animal, because that what they do!!!! Your both right, do a Q&A and do a lot of exploring, fine the feel good spots, it's a turn on when you do!!!! When it comes to understanding how to better support your partner in their search for sexual pleasure would it be beneficial to also try to know what senses provide trigger, stimulation and greatest pleasure to that particular person? I love that you mention that every person is different and one size doesn't fit all. In my 25 yrs of marriage I have learned to learn from my partner what pleasures her more when we are out of the bedroom than when we are there, I think that's what intimacy in the sexual term means in other words the intercourse is the peak and culmination of the moments we share during all the time we are together. I am still Twenty five years old and get a major problem. Getting it up isn`t a problem, but my problem is how to sustain a lasting interaction. I put into practice this ED treatment plan and boy it really works. TOP TIP: As a lubricant, we use coconut oil and it's great! We both love it, the smell is great, it tastes good... and it doesn't seem to affect condoms or cause vaginal infections. And it's CHEAP! We got a huge jar at Costco about 3 years ago and it's still 3/4 full! Why isn't EVERYONE using that instead of buying extremely expensive pharmacy lube?!🤔 And of course, we only use PURE coconut oil (sold for cooking). So there's no doubting the safety of it for viginal or penile use. NOTE: Don't cook with that stuff! It's extremely bad for you!

One thing I see ppl complain about when they transition from casual sex in dating scenarios to partnership is, that sex gets less. But somehow they forget that just by the basics of the dynamic, that is normal. If you make an appointment with a person specifically for intercourse and schedule it, then naturally, each time you meet, you are there for this purpose, possibly with different ppl, and it works. When you're in a dedicated partnership, you have everyday life with each other and unlike "dating" or "casual hookups" you're now expecting the same frequency as that with many ppl, or that with this person when both of you specifically made time for dating (which you likely now don't), chances are you too are investing less into the relationship but do not notice where (e.g. emotional needs, romance, communication). You possibly also move two households together, which means each of you often ends up doing for more than one person. And although there are times when that make it easier and faster, the mental load and the process of doing things, can slow you down, because now you can no longer fly through the day by your own impulses only, but have to include and communicate with another person. Your contact is no longer concentrated on just the fluffy positive aspects either, but also the tough life stuff. You're also learning each other (straining at beginning) OR drop the ball on doing that (negativity increases as your needs change but your head cannon about what the needs of the other person, never changes along) There's pros and cons to everything. And each scenario has an own set of challenges that asks for an own set of skills and efforts from everyone involved. You can be good at dating but suck at running a long-term partnership well. They need separate learning. And that also applies for dopaminergic (reward circuit hormone) casual sex vs. oxytocin (bonding hormone) loaded committed partnership sex. Both, if done well, can be great.

First step is empathy as opposed to narcissism. Since that's nearly impossible, it means your partner doesn't care about you and is only after marriage for financial security and babies. Passion (infatuation) is necessary for real romance and that rarely lasts if it ever existed. It's now just a short-term transaction. How to improve that? Peace.

I love your channel. It is very informative and non-judgmental. I think you should spend more time talking about how difficult it is for some women to communicate their sexual wants and needs (even that they have sexual wants and needs, much less what they are). First of all, this void makes it harder for partners to fulfill the other's needs. Second, we miss out on the erotic thrill of hearing our partner say what they are thinking about us and/or what they would like from us. My theory is that the barrier to verbal exchange is the fear that they will be "judged" negatively for expressing desire. My wife of almost 30 years definitely enjoys sex, but would sooner be caught in a mall in her underwear than start a sentence with, "I want you to . . ." One would think that there is enough trust after that much time not to feel vulnerable or exposed to be able to express sexual desire, but this is still difficult for her.

The collective consciousness of people keep evolving, people and their morality keep changing because human beings are not constant in nature. It’s a universal principle. I’m sure there are taboos that are prevalent in parts of western countries as well. Talking about women driving who said that women in India cannot drive? Women do drive here it’s just that people have their own perceptions about how a female gender should act in a society which again revolves around how one thinks and evolves. I’m from India and I don’t hold any kind of such thoughts.

@@arjunr5578 Secular morality improves itself but religious dogma doesn't so much or is dramatically slower at least. We hear about honor killing family members, and class systems, and hiding womens faces and gender inequality here but probably like most places it doesn't apply to the whole nation just parts.

Basically, the attraction of the two for each other in all respects. Next, the liking for each other or bondage of attraction for the two. The attraction might only apply among the two only and not anyone else. Next comes the intimate bondage and that sparks the excitement in bed.

One thing that was a bit of a failure on Dr. Rena's part. She said that vaseline should not be used as a lubricant and that you should not use lubricants with containing parrafin, but failed to expalin what is the issue or risk in using those! Will they bring harm or death to my partner? Have I been hurting my partner all along? PLEASE EXPLAIN!

Scheduling Sex actually works wonderfully but no need to write it on the calnder if you do it thrice a day Before getting out of the bed, a nooner and then at bedtime. Hard to miss this schedule that was why it was my fav one.
