How to Install A Water Softener, Pre-Filter, and Program the Control Head 

Hello, Everyone! This video shows the steps needed to install a water softener, pre-filter, and how to program the control head. The water softener and pre-filter was purchased through Amazon. The water softener unit is a Fleck 64,000 grain, 10% resin, 5600SXT, metered on demand, whole house water softener system. The sediment filter housing is SimPure Whole House 10 inch x 4.5 inch sediment filter. The sediment filters are Aquaboon 5 micron whole house water filters. After about 2 months after installation, I removed the sediment filter from the housing, permanently. In the instruction booklet of the water softener, it mentions that if you have mild sediment, this is ok because it will be washed away when the backwash or drain cycle occurs. My sediment filter got dirty very quickly and contributed to a smell in my water at the nearest faucet closest to the water softener.
