How To Install Door Handles Without Messing Up 

Easy to make a mistake when marking out the holes manually, so I always make a template to avoid problems and speed up the work. I filmed this back in September and kind of forgot about it until now. My uncle taught me this when doing kitchen installs with him as an apprentice. I had to make one whether we installed 2 doors or 20 - he was pretty fussy. If the holes were off so much as 1/32", he'd be complaining about it. "Jimmy! Get over here and look at this" lol. Makes the process go quicker too.

I wish I had this video a few years ago. Installing door handles was my first project that kind of started me into woodworking. I carefully measured out the hole position on each and every door (and I had one that still ended up a touch crooked, thankfully my wife tells me she doesn't notice!). Thanks, as always!

Thats a great tip John. I always used a card template and a awl to mark but there is so much room for error with that method. I will be using yours from now on!
