In this video I install the bmw crash bars I recently unboxed. It’s not a super difficult job just requires basic hand tools and you should be able to install yourself! itunes.apple.com/us/album/2wi...
Thanks for this video. I was worried about the main engine frame bolts. I confirm that on my bike they broke at 35-38 Nm, close to the 40 Nm recommended here.
3 Years later and this vid is alot of help - Mine just came in from BMW and of course no instructions. Where did you get the torque values from? I was able to figure out the assembly by looking the exploded parts diagram in their parts database but there are no torque values there.
I checked with the dealership today, and they couldn't find the instructions on their systems. Their guess for the torque spec was 20 Nm to the engine case.
Great content! I just installed my engines guards on my G310R. Unfortunately, I'm still looking for an upper set for the tank area. Any suggestions? I got the pearl white but I got minor (yet annoying) scratches on the blue and red graphics on the fairings. Do you the the shade or color code) for some touch up?

@@MattsMotoWoRX I had a hard time finding the crash bars 77 15 2 459 289. Ended up finding this one: Z3BA00 - BMW (77-14-2-459-289). Is this the same crash bar?
