When cylinder refuses to slide in butter-like fashion (as it should), you can try squeezing those four spigots gently towards the center. They are long and not fully straight, thus producing friction enough inside their own guide holes to prevent free, even cylinder sliding. No slamming with mallet is recommended, nor it should be necessary at all. Same goes for cylinder head. Good old WD-40 could also be of great help. But no slamming.

I'll keep that in mind if you watch the next video you'll see that they actually sent me the wrong one of 54 millimeter stud spacing cylinder versus what I needed was a 57 cylinder stud spacing.. hahaa. Me Lesson learned.

My goodness, man, WHY are you beating that thing like that?? It should not take that kind of force to get that in there.

Jeffery A. Hunt I'm glad you caught it I didn't bother measure it and our distributors did send the wrong cylinder housing it was made for 54mm stud spacing not 57mm stud spacing as to way i been ponding it.. long story short I did get it in but the price of cracking the cylinder scale fins. You're right you should only tap the most 5 light taps mine was like almost 50 heavy taps! I'll post the correct cylinder housing video 57mm and show the difference how easily it should fit in without that much force. No wonder the dowel pins would not align inside either in top end units to the crankcase that should have been the warning sign already incorrect cylinder stud spacing.

DONT take any notice of this guy, you SHOULD NOT be using any sort of hammer / mallet to drive that cylinder down

I can spind the motor by hand, but my piston seems like it's very tight in the cylinder. Is this normal? Maybe since it's brand new and not broken in? Thoughts?

Kevin Stearns absolutely right I haven't got back into showcase that the manufacturer actually sent me the 54 mm stud spacing which I assume we're 57 mm stud spacing it's wife dowel pins wouldn't actually fit just need to tap it a few times the most with a mallet hammer I got the correct part in there now but yet to have time to complete the video thank you for pointing that out.

Question? Changing over from a 150cc to a 180cc head do you have to bore the case or does it fit? nicely?
@KylesAdventures1994

Please I need your Help : I have set up a new gaskets for my GY6 150cc then after all that : I turned on the Scooter on the idle screw without opening more gas. but it works not regulary : while it is in the kick stand the rear wheel stops then moves slow then a little speed then stops the biggest problem is that the sound of the scooter is like AK47 Rifle you can hear it from 500 meters away . I suspected the Stator or Spark plug itself then the Gas Mixture screw maybe need to be closed a little : also I suspect that the Exhust need a New Gasket to make the soun lower ,, please tell me what is that Problem ?

Tra vis if it's a short case will be probably not it was a long case you do have a chance if your frame also allows it. Here's how the term if you have a short case or long case 139qmb by the belt size: ncystore.com/bando-729-18-30-cvt-drive-belt-qmb-longcase

Let me ask you you had to split your case remove the crank and buy a special tool to shave the case or the 180 big bore kit won't fit the biggest you can go is 171cc with out shaving the case this is a fact

Hello... how much milimeter on gasket cylinder (bronze)? Thx
@NCYSTORE
@NCYSTORE 6 лет назад
hromyblesky121212 the gasket you're looking at is 63 mm gasket as far as thickness of spraying on the bronze just a nice even coat. Does this answer your question?
