Let me get this right. - ETTL expose to the left of the histogram? (should I always use and trust the in-camera histogram or can I eyeball this also?) - than underexpose by 1-1.5 stop (by changing exposure compensation setting in camera)? -than in Davinci resolve raise exposure again and use noise-reduction? thx!!!!

For short clip this might work, but for me the workflow would be a hassle, I think R6 is a much better camera for this kind of job.

I think it's possible, just set the aspect ratio to 16:9.

If you want to monitor the audio level, then keep the kill global draw to OFF, it probably will affect the write speed but if you really need to monitor audio, that is the way to do it

Hi, thanks a lot for watching my video. Here's what I can tell: 1. For 128GB card it would probably last for about 25 minutes, I've tested for 1 min video the file size is about 5GB. 2. For the differences FullHD and 5.2K, there's definitely a difference especially in sharpness, also in moire and alliasing. For color grading I can't tell you that for sure, but I think the more pixel you get means more data, so between FHD 14bit and 5.2K 14bit there should be a difference, but to be honest I don't really noticed it (maybe it's because of my lack of experience, a pro colorist maybe could tell the difference) 3. To update the magic lantern, it is the same as installing a new one Hope that could help a little bit. 😁

Yeah sure, I've aleardy planned on doing a video about that.

Yes touchscreen still work with magic lantern. But it will not compatible when you enter the magic lantern menu.

I never tried it, but I think it should work, only you need to lower the bit depth to 10bit for better reliability. I really recommend to use Sandisk Extreme Pro at least 64GB, it is much reliable.

this mod will only benefit the video side. So if your main focus is photo I don’t think you need it.

For that I think you'll need a camera with good autofocus for both photo and videos. I recommend camera like canon m5, m6, or m50. And for sony I think zv-e10 is a good option for it's price.

at first it only goes about 70, as I already explain in this video, I changed the default setting for overclocking and it goes about 85-86 in my case.

unfortunately, no. It won't eliminate the record limit, but there is a function that auto restart the recording.

For the majority the feature with this firmware only affect the video mode, but for photo mode you still can use the Kelvin custom white balance

Mungkiniso nya di set ke auto ya brother? Atau memang tdk bs sama skli di ganti ya? Kalo gak slh utk set ISO cmn bisa pake touchscreen, bs tekan info button dlu sampe settinganya utk ISO muncul. Ato di tab exposure (Tab ke-2 menu ML) utk magic lantern jg bs utk set shutter, ISO, aperture, WB. klo gak bs jg mungkin blh copot dlu sd cardnya, dan setting dlu cameranya tanpa magic lantern, setelah itu baru di masukan kembali SD cardnya.

Did you adjust the screen brightness in the settings manually?

So far, I've done the instalation process so many times and so far i never encounter the problems that break my camera. But for precautions you should need to take a very good attention about the requirements to instal magic lantern on the EOS-M. Like make sure to use the right ML firmware and make sure that your EOS-M is running the 2.0.2 firmware version. Use a fully charged battery and use a good SD Card. Again ML is not an official firmware so it may cause problem for the camera, but so far in my experince of using it, my camera is still working fine.

Blm pernah coba di Mark II, tapi sejauh ini di EOS-M dan 5Diii masih aman2 aja sih.

Klo sy rekomendasi yg extreme pro, selain speednya tinggi itu jg bisa di katakan stabil.

If you want the best video quality from your older canon camera such as EOS-M, you definitely need it.

yeah, the 1080p 3:2 aspect ratio is actually my favorite mode for this ML build

Coba di bagian modules aktifkan Benchmark. Terus nnti di test kecepatan SD cardnya kalo bisa capai sekita 86MB/s hrsnya gk ada masalah sih. Tp kalau speednya cmn 20-an MB/s. Blh coba di otak-atik lg di bagian overclocking nya. Kalau masih bermasalah mngkn SD cardnya bisa cb test dgn SD card yg lain brother.

Yeah it's true. But from what I read between 95mb and 170mb/s version the writing speed is the same. And if you overclock the 95mb/s version it can go up to 86Mb/s. I've already explain it in this video and as you can see in this video I have no problem using it with 5.2K resolution and other resolution using the sandisk 95m/s version.

this camera is a little bit hard to find in other country, such as mine in Indonesia. the easiest and cheapest way to get access to RAW video is this camera with crop mood is much reliable ML build.

I think this camera, camera is more suitable if you are on a really tough budget. But if you have the budget, you can get a better camera. The point in this video is that if you want you can get great result even with cheap and old camera, not to say that it's better than other camera

Well, it was an interesting thought exercise either way which is why I watched and appreciated it. Your perspective is valid which is why I again spent the time. By the time you got it working however the image was so reduced in quality would the RAW images be worth it? You also left unanswered what length of time the camera actually would record for once you actually got it working, three 3 minutes ten minutes what? What was the battery life at that point? Would the camera be usable with a very fast card in it and what would those parameters be? Why not get a very fast card by writing the companies for a sample and give it a try then make a follow-up video? I realized you stated in the video that the card you had was the card you had but it still leaves all those questions based on the premise you set out which was low-budget filmmaking. Finally, assuming you could get it to record I RAW for a decent amount of time at a decent resolution would it be possible to come up with some way to put a decent lens on it and build it out with a cage, and a little monitor, a real power supply a stable audio interface and so forth? I mean make and cobble together the thing all the way and then let me know when you make a follow-up video.
