Thanks for explaining toe and camber adjustments! Tips: Ceramic cup on TIG torch can be smaller. Then run 15 to 20 CFH. Saves gas and easier to get into tight areas. Tungsten can be 1/16" for that size weld and material thickness. Smaller tungsten allows more control of arc for that size weld bead. Weld rod is probably 70s2, unless base metal is chrome-moly, then 80s would be appropriate. Use gloves when grinding. Scary.
I just ordered all my frontend parts to do the E36 work. Front sub frame is coming out for the oil pan so I'm going to do a bunch of suspension refresh.... GitRDone!
Dude I've been loving the videos lately and I'm excited to see where the bertyE30 is going. I've been religiously watching every single one of your videos and I feel like you should have a crap load more subs anyway thanks
Personally Ive got my centric camber slots set to only remove as much negative as possible and my serrated toe adjusters the same way because even lowered a little the car has a lot of toe in and negative camber. Also I know centrics can come out of a alignment so with the way I have it it will nvr go more negative that it was stock at that height. Serrated ones don’t Fit it camber spot for raised subframe bushings so I used the centric there and serrated on the toe spot
I should have done this when my stuff was out, but ill get around to it eventually or just buy the one from garagistic and save time just spend a few more bucks. Get them coils installed already ;)
Hi, I lowering my car with coilover suspension kit. It make my rear camber -3 degree. If it want set rear camber -1 degree, will I set up or down? Can you suggest position weld plate for toe and camber?
Hi, great video, just fitting this kit to my M Coupe in the UK right now. However I'm a bit confused with the positioning of the inner camber plates, in your video at 5:26 you suggest bottom most position for less camber and top positon for more; surely it's the other way round?
Awesome video and very entertaining . i watch all the e30 one ,since i just bought one . quick question , my e30 is lowered and the camber is -3.00 degree, as far as new bracket , if i want to erase some of negative camber do i go more up to body or down to ground with oval hole in new bracket? thanks again for help.
malik ebo if I remember correctly you go up to the body more. Just hold the trailing arm and imagine the change. If it goes up more it should decrease the camber.
Also just a tip if you film any sort of welding it will ruin the sensor in your camera think of the sensor as if it were your eyes so just be careful bro
+mallratt25 thanks man, yeah I just couldn't get in where I wanted to. My friend is a Union pipe welder so he TIG's stuff all day long and is used to odd angles.
I think that the camber and toe plates are easy to do i just don't know where i find the bolts can you post where you buy the kit or are custom made? Searching for this to correct the camber on my e30 :(
im trying to wrap my head around camber and toe in your rear is it like trying to adjust a solid axle or am i ove thinking it and it will move the trailing arms as needed and not the sub frame
Blake's Garage I came to this channel prepared to storm the comment section with my internet warrior dominance, but I have to say with each video I'm more impressed with your quality of work. Subbed.
