Alsways drill out the holes in the fibre glass or aluminum just a tiny bit using a larger drill bit. This way you create a cavity to give the sealant a place to sit in. Also rather use butyl tape than kit.
like if I would need 5 degres more Angle of the 3 screws deck the make it flat on the boat , I now did two more hole at the end to gain a bit of more angle but specially when I open the shox , if I screw 3 screws it will break for sure because I can’t get a straight line
@@FKCamVlogs yes it worked! I didn’t know that it was that solid , so I bend it a bit to get the right angle . First it was on the third hole at the end of the tab and it was not doing nothing . So I change it the the first holo and now I feel the difference on the water , but it still porposing a little but like 60 % less . Do you think a need bigger tabs ? I have 6x8 “ now , on a 18 foot seadoo challenger . The porpoising before was terrible at full speed ..
I received my Trim tabs and tried to install them but I can’t get the straight line to have de 3 screws triangle shox deck flat on the boat and align with the fixing plate , why ???
Jonathan, sorry to hear you are having trouble with installation, you can send a me a short video or few pics through my email in about section of my you tube, this will help me visualize your situation. I would also suggest to call their customer service, they are helpful
@@thomasdonoghue9073 hi , yes ! First , fix the trim tab at the bottom. Then fix the 3 screws of the shox triangle to the boat separately. When both of them are screws and solid , you can connect back the shox with the tabs with the little metal key . Don’t be afraid to push hard and bend it a little bit so it can be aligned and push the key in the hole to locked it .
