Did you just snip off the clip from the door speakers? And then use butt connectors for the new ones

If the stock speakers are blown anyway, I remove the female connector and solder them to the replacement. Makes for at tidier install. Don't have to deal with pigtails or have to pay extra for harness adapters.

Really nice video but there are some things you need to do in order to get all of the sound those speakers are able to produce. First you need to get the vibration out of the metal. Just add some weight to it with Alubutyl. Its aluminum with a big layer of bitumen. It adds weight and stiffens the metal. You need to put it everywhere so there is no noice, rattling or rumbling. Also you need to seal al the holes. Speakers need a defined room to get some pressure out. Sealed room equals more bass. Make sure the speakers are mounted on a stable surface. These few things should increase the amount of bass and the soundquality

Thanks for the tutorial got my new speakers in easily but damn the stock speaker wire sleeves are such a pain to cut off.
