thank you !!! The installations on my Home Collections (Home Depot) only said 'attach to the valance, with no step-by-step of how to do so. So I appreciate you posting this video
Hi, I decided to paint my vertical blinds and they look awesome. My problem is that I'm having a problem putting the valance back on. I thought it would just slide through the clips and it doesn't. Is there a special trick to pulling the bottom part of the clip, without breaking it? The clips have an upper and lower tip. I am doing this by myself, so there are no helpers.
+turb59 If you have the same clips shown in this video, take a flat head screwdriver and push up on the the tab that is attached to the back of the valance. This should allow the tab on the back to compress. When the tab is pushed up, give your valance a motion of pushing up, and pulling out at the same time. Do this slowly, but the tab should come right out without any issues. If this doesn't work, contact us at 888 - 257 - 1840, and our friendly staff would be more than glad to walk you through any other issues you may have. - Anthony
Thank you very much. I had never put a valance on before, the new blind had instructions for the installation of the blind but then it just said the valance is optional and no more information!!!!
bridgette265 that's possible, however because Valance clips are plastic and usually fairly flimsy, installing your "anchor" pieces first, allow an easier install. Plus if you tried to do it the way you are thinking, it would just be awkward and could be more complicated. I also have a video that demonstrates a Valance Clip install
