@@TEAMSWARTZ Great info 👍. Quick question, does all this info apply to officers as well? What would be the route of an officer/someone who plans on becoming an officer in the guard. How long do they have to wait before applying? Can they drill with a special forces prep unit as well?

One thing I hate about the process of going 18x or option 60 or 64 I blv in the NG family and friends always think I’m just fucking around they don’t realize for the last 20 months I do more in a day then they do in a entire year my only regret is not getting my shit together when I was a younger man I’ll prolly be in my early 30s before I can dawn a green beret. Good luck to anyone else going down this path. If your turkey dedicated and not a quitter I def wish you the best

How many Physician Assistants do you see (or leading) in the 19th/20th NG SF? Is it strictly prior 18Ds? I was looking to serve in the NG SF as a PA, but from what I've heard it's a pipe-dream from a direct commission (no prior service) standpoint. Appreciate the content, my friend.

You can be a PA civilian side and any MOS in SF guard. There are 18D guys in the guard that do just that.

you can go ROTC and go to college while earning a commission, and then make more money and also have your degree.

@@TEAMSWARTZ For sure, just didn't hear that mentioned. Does ROTC apply to the guard as well or is that only for active duty commitments? I know personally I can attest to what you said because it took me quite a while to get my degrees following active duty, guard surely woulda made that easier.

@@regularbro ROTC is strictly offered for full time students as strictly a Student and for those currently serving in the Guard or Reserve. Once in the Junior year of College or say a 2 year program like earning your masters, at time of signing your SMP Contract you decide at time of commissioning if you’re committing to Active Duty, Guard or Reserve. Hope that helps and I’ll be doing videos on OCS, ROTC, etc... very soon!

I finished 11b osut like a year ago and it was very easy to go sf if you had a decent pt score they must be hurting for sf soldiers because they were waiving sf contracts for gt scores of 100 no this was not a typo

Does any other spec ops units(such as: Seals, CCT, MARSOC) allow you to go reserve/national guard off the street with no prior experience like ArmySF does, what about Seal team 17? Fernandez stated 18-35 age. Im 39 about to enlist to go active duty due to 4 years of prior service in the Navy which gets subtracted from my age bringing me in at 35. Does that mean I'm still eligible to try out? Or if I'm active duty does the age still affect my eligibility?

Hi guys quick question do you actually need or is better for someone coming off the streets to speak a a SF recruiter to sign you up for the Guard and than 18x contract OR you need to go through the normal process with a recruiter and than you’ll be directed to a SF recruiter ? Please help me get out of this confusion thing.

Either one works but to maximize the information you seek and to get accurate questions addressed, if at all possible speak directly to an experienced SF Recruiter. But any Recruiter can assist you with that option for AD and for the States you’re in that has SF if going Guard. I scored a 59 on my asvab/afqt with a 111 GT score is it actually something to be proud of or is my recruiter just trying to motivate me? I feel like I could have done better.

Anything over a 50% is above average. Anything over a 50% will prequalify you for additional incentives if otherwise eligible for them and GT 111 is a great score. Def be proud my friend. I’ve personally never seen any Felon get an approved moral waiver but I have heard stories of them getting approved. It depends on the unique details of the case. Getting an expunged record doesn’t help a moral waiver. Expungement means theirs no record other than a database saying there was an arrest on this date. So now it’s your word versus actual documentation. In the eyes of the waiver dept. they’re already skeptical as is and now we have to decide whether or not to entertain your waiver request. Most aren’t going to trust the statement from a felon on what happened without documentation. Expungement helps in the civilian sector for normal employment but hurts your requests when seeking to join.

@@blazegulizack Rep 63 can only be offered to anyone enlisting straight into a Guard or Active Duty SF unit. Everyone who enlists starts out as a civilian and becomes a soldier. I thought you meant like, as a civilian go through the training and be with SF as a civilian and not as a Soldier. Hit up SFC Fernandez from this video and he can respond to all your SF Questions. It really helped me out. I was looking at going to the Guard as a MP but had to pump the breaks and see if this is what I really wanted to do. After thinking about it for a while I decided that id prefer to go 11b since thats what I've always wanted to do. So I'll be calling my recruiter before long to get it started again. You can request it through your command. Less than 1% chance if you’re in a combat support MOS and a combat support unit. Have a greater chance if you’re in a combat arms MOS and unit.
