it will help you not to get injured if you train legs heavily in the gym and work out some musle fibers that you may not get to in the gym

I usually do all of them as a specific workout! But you can always split them and do only one or two and add them to your gym routine!

It depends on your fitness. I recommend you do these exercises maybe 2 to 3 sets of 5 reps each. The most important thing is that you focus on every rep, not on the total of reps you are doing.
