I was finally so close to scraping the rim during highschool but then the pandemic came and ultimately stopped my daily basketball and workouts. I'm only 5 7 and one day I sure hope I will dunk
Yo, I'm 5'8'' and I really wanted to dunk since high school. I'm continuing my daily physical activities so I can dunk one day. Hope you're doing well in your activities.
@@kurosaki3778 Hello although I am not jumping as high as I used to be, i plan on continuing to play daily again and exercise for it. I hope we both get our goals accomplished goodluck on your journey bro
@@baby_yoda9935 Unfortunately not yet! I sustained an injury on my ankle after landing on another's foot while in the air mid game. I had to take time off from jumping drills and just been in the gym lately. I can reach the top of the net but not the rim yet. hbu?
@@kurakusenpai6550 thats unfortunate, i hope you recover stronger than u were previously, im also now trying to increase my vertical, im around 5.6feet(1.68m) so im also relying on growing taller eventually and maybe getting to dunk
Bro I'm 5'9 and I feel like I lost my jumping a ability cause in 8th grade I had no problem touching the rim but this year in highschool I scrape it 😐 idk if they raise it higher or whatever but it gets me so mad so I gotta practice more
Yeah man you should start SLOWER and then accelerate COMFORTABLY. Focus on keeping your CORE/Abs tight when you plant to jump (Like how you'd tighten then if someone was going to punch you in the stomach. That'll help "control" the speed!
I'm 6'2 but I find it hard to dunk cleanly. I feel heavy even though I'm 75 kg and deep squats 75 kg with jog of about 5 km a day. What do I need to work on to be a better one and two foot jumper?
You're lacking explosiveness because you're training aerobically too much. By the end of your 5km a day runs, your body has depleted it's fat stores and is likely consuming muscle for energy. Hence why marathon/long-distance runners look a certain way. If jumping is the goal- you should stop the long-distance running, and work more 400m intervals and IN *100m hills/ 40m hills/ 40/30m downhills, etc) to work on your speed and explosiveness while maintaining your muscle stores.
Totally man the biggest problem people run into when dunking off a dribble is losing their SPEED and ARM SWING. Try to maintain your speed and ACCELERATE into the jump. It's easy to SLOW DOWN while dribbling not realizing it. Secondly, be EXPLOSIVE with your arm swing and EXPLODE vertically.
I used to be able to touch the rim but then I injured my patellar tendon. Now its better and I play with knee brace on. But because of the recovery I couldn't play for almost half a year. Now I am 6'0 but only can get half a palm on a normal backboard. I want to be able to dunk before I turn 16. Any tips?
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 We are all deserving of death but Jesus paid the fine on the cross. Trust in Jesus alone for your eternal salvation because it can only be found in Him. Hopefully this inspired and encouraged you today. God bless.
Thank you for this it helped me a lot i can almost touch the rim and im only 13 and im 5,8 feet and i cant touch the rim yet baut one day the work will pay out.
We don't recommend training outside of our own. Not saying their bad- just that we put a lot of time, strategy, and PROOF into our training strategies and systems.
I am 6,1 senior in HS. I need to figure out why my body is like this. For example yesterday i was the bounciest i ever seen my self almost threw down a windmill. But like today i felt a little less mobile and bouncy. Any tips to helps me out with that?
I'm really good at basketball. But I can't play the same has I do when I 1 v 1 or play at the rec. Beacause I got anxiety and over think stuff and panic attacks. Any tips? Pls I need it
Repetition man. You need to play as much as you can- and also understand that basketball is a game that's meant to be FUN and enjoyable above all. At the end of the day, it's not that serious. Just do your best, play hard, and that's all anyone can ask for from you man!
you are bringing too much speed most likely, it's best not to slow down, but to attack the rim at a comfortable speed. In fast break situations when you have to bring speed- it's best to jump from a little farther out as you'll jump towards the back board quickly.
It's technique and NATURAL feel honestly. Body build/strength levels, etc all play a role in the "way you jump". Whether it's 1 foot or 2 feet. It's kinda like how you're either left handed or right handed. It's natural to be one more than the other- but you can TEACH yourself to excel both ways!
Please a snswer rhis I am 17 years can really basketball helps me grow taller and if yes I can't play basketball but can I instead jump everyday 100 times I do that hopfully to grow taller???????????😥
Oh Mason, you'll be HAMMERING dunks soon. Focus on your core strengths. I'd do ab and lower back workouts in front of the tv or before consistently to really build your core. It'll help you transition speed vertically within your tall frame!
@@SwagRangerr well yesterday for breakfast I had 4 bowls of cereal, lunch 3 pb and j and dinner 8 eggs and 12-15 cups of milk with some snacks in between
God tried to turn us from our sins through many rules but it didn't help so he became a man lived a sinless life like a 'game programmer' enter his own powerful avatar to overcome all the bugs and to save the other avatars in the simulation(or exam for good place) by sacrificing his own avatar to help the other avatars to make through the exam, anyone can posses that power when he/she have faith in jesus HE'S coming back
