HOW TO KNOW IF STEERING ANGLE SENSOR IS BAD OR NOT CALIBRATED. BRAKE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ON
If your steering angle sensor is bad or the steering angle sensor triggered the traction control light we will demonstrate how to test your steering angle sensor and how to find out if your steering angle sensor needs to be calibrated. If you took your car for a front end alignment and after that the traction control light was on due to steering angle sensor this is because the steering angle sensor will need to be reset / calibrated in order to turn the light off. It takes only a few minutes to reset the steering angle sensor on most cars but you will need some special tools to be able to do that. We demonstrated how to do that on BMW but it will work on many cars.

Hi My bmw 1 series steering angle plausibility error code disappears with steering angle sensor calibration . But After driven few kilometers, again pop up same error code. Do you know the reason for that? Thanks

Can you buy a S550 Benz with Engine Headgaskets problems and do a show on that. I think you have very good channel. Can you also do a show on rebuilding the engine on 2012 BMW 528 . Thanks,

Hello My steering wheel is a little hard to rotate to right and left and SAS code has occurred on obd scanner, so does this code cause this issue ( heavy wheel rotating)? Thank you.

Hi. I have vw golf plus 2009 2.0 tdi. If i tilt my steering downwards than abs and traction light come on... Tilting upwards is fine no light.. Any idea what it could be

I have a 2015 Prius. Traction slip liight constant. I have c1231 so I replaced the SAS with used OEM out of another Prius. Did not fix the problem. I checked every fuse. Did the paper clip 4 and 13 pins for steering callibration. Checked live data: stuck at 850.5 just like before. Turn the steering wheel back and forth 3 times. Nada. Using the Maxicom MK808 I found I could test ABS sensors. It came back that all ABS sensors are abnornal or low and that the master brake booster/ actuator has c1281 low sensor pressure. At this point I'm wondering if I should replace the master brake booster/ actuator with the skid control ecm attached to it. (dome light works fine and car drives perfect)

i have 2003 bmw x5 4.4 i have pa soft ware bmw scanner and i am getting erro code watchdog under steering wheel angle sensor also i have open circuti for abs speed sensor rear right and i have already replace abs speed sensor and those pesky dtc abs and brake lights come on after 20 mins off driving. turn off ignition lights go off every time then back on after 20 mins any thoughts

Hi. my 13 GT had The Advance Track needs service light come on and also has no power steering. I was told by auto repair shop the code reader said it was a Steering Wheel Angle Position Sensor. I can't find the Position Sensor and Ford says the car does not have one. So I thought maybe the Clock spring does both... Nope. I changed that and still the same. Help Thanks

Hi I have almost the same problem as you but I don't think it's the same solution, I'll explain it to you unintentionally when changing the rack I lost track of the steering wheel so I I accidentally turned the steering wheel to the maximum and I must have exceeded the limit it will make a click and since then I have this error message what do you think?

HI GUY HOPE U CAN POST THIS CAUSE I AM COMPUTER CHALLENGED. 2009 CHALLENGER MANUAL TRANS. ESP BAS LIGHT CAME ON WHEN TIRE CAME OFF CURB OUT OF GAS STATION RAMP N TIRE SPUN.ESP (ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL)BAS(BRAKE ASSIST PROGRAM) I DID ALL THE TRICKS ON U TUBE. SPIN WHEEL ALL THE WAY TO RIGHT THEN TO LEFT. TURNED LIGHT OFF TEMPORALLY. TURNED CAR OFF WHILE IN NUTRAL WHILE GOING 20 MPH N RESTARTING IT. TURNED LIGHT OFF TEMPORALLY. LOOKED INTO STEERING ANGLE SENSOR N FOUND THAT IF THIS HAPPENS TO U , IT SHOULD RESET ITSELF AFTER ABOUT 100 MILES OF DRIVING OR SO.IF NOT,THERE ARE CODE READER DEVICES THAT HAVE SAS ON THEM. THIS RESETS YOUR STEERING ANGLE SENSOR. DO THIS BEFORE CHANGING IT.ALSO WHEN U DO CHANGE IT IT SHOULD BE RESET TO CENTER.

Hi, I have 2010 Vauxhall astra j mk6 and the the service power steering fault keeps appearing on my dashboard, it comes on after like 10-15 mins of driving and the steering feels ok though. Do you think this has something to do with the steering angle sensor, on the computer fault checker it comes up saying steering wheel angle signal invalid data. Pleade help thanks

i have a 2004 320d e46 and the steering angle sensor rotates freely around the control column. the lights i have on are DSC/Brake Light/TyrePressure light all yellow

Same thing happened with my car, turns out the sensor actually was way off but the back up camera worked flawlessly. Not sure why but I definitely wouldn’t rule it out, never hurts to reset anyways doesn’t take long with an obd

@@fwybty probably needs calibration. Depends on the car but some steering angle sensors like Ford have it built in into the rack and pinion rack because they are electronic.

Good question ❓ probably because they know nobody has the correct scanning tool to do it or right software. I have the same thing going on and have been trying to buy one to fix it might have to spend a couple hundred dollars to get a top notch tool because he seems to not answer any questions in the comments but I know this video is really old but everyone is asking the same question.
