I started learning Japanese more seriously recently, so if someone sees this in the far future (months or years after this is commented), please drop a comment to remind me and I'll give updates :)

Keep going! How are your Japanese now?

@@by3734 Thanks! It's going pretty good. I'm mainly focusing on flashcards and watching shows. I can understand some easier shows without subtitles. But with reading and speaking I'm basically still at 0 lol, since I'm only going to focus on that later

@@plumie It's going great! Not much has changed really in how I'm learning, it's just that I'm slowly understanding more and more, and having to move on to slightly harder content. Also studying kanji so I can read, but that's just recently. I'm N4 with kanji, and probably somewhere N3 with vocab. I still haven't practiced speaking at all, since I'm gonna wait until I can understand more :)

@@codenamepyro2350 I am glad, keep going!:) You will understand more and more as time passes as long as you study consistently! Rooting for you

Your vlog is truly inspiring! It has motivated me in so many ways. If you're looking to immerse yourself in the Japanese language and culture, I highly recommend trying out tools like Immersive Translate. I discovered this extension through a kind individual who shared it with me, and I've found it to be incredibly helpful in my language journey.

I found that Hiragana Pixel party mostly helped me with very quick sight reading. Sure it helps nail down your knowledge of the Kana, but as I continued to play I noticed that it was teaching me to read them very quickly.

@@WithNotebooksandCoffeeNooks I haven't tried the intermediate book yet, but the TOBIRA beginning japanese textbooks are suuuper cool, and the whole concept is based on the internet generation(?) and I prefered it over genki because of it

@Retog that's amazing!!...but HOW are you immersed ??...just working at a Japanese restaurant, just reading and watching anime, Japanese relatives living in same household??? I was supposed to move to Tokyo this year, but I delayed it a year, because I only self finished Genki book 1, and feel I need book 2, because I still dont know anything to exist there, and I never studied the Kanji in Genki yet either... Maybe you are the kind of gifted individual that just picks up on and absorbs things very well like that? Im the opposite and my brain rejects new information that is unusual and unknown, by default!
