Ingredients
Flat Iron Steak
Seasoning of choice (I used The Original Sure Shot Sids Gunpowder)
Method
Heat a cast iron skillet to medium high heat.
Season steak. Place steak in skillet and sear approximately 4 minutes on each side for medium rare steak.
Remove from skillet and add 1 tbsp of herb butter. Cover steak with tinfoil and allow it to rest at least 5 minutes before slicing and serving
Herb Butter
1/2 stick of softened salted butter
1 tbsp lime zest
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp chopped parsley or cilantro
Pinch of salt
Method
Stir all ingredients together and chill in the refrigerator at least one hour before serving.
