My stepsons grandfather on his mother's side used to make this and it was the rave of the family. He passed away from cancer in September of 2021. I have made the "jello poke cake" many times but I must say I love your recipe better with the white chocolate pudding. I have to work on spreading the cake evenly but I covered my mistake with the topping. You're right, God is good. Thank you!

I been making this cake since I was 12 years old but I call it a poke cake and I use one cup boiling water and one cup of Sprite or 7up for the jello. Also it is better if you mix the pudding with one cup of milk by its self then when it starts to stiffen some fold in your whip cream. Then refrigerate and you won't have any lumps in your topping. You did a beautiful job.😘💖
I love this recipe, it's an old one and that tells me it has to be good to last all these years. Try it with the kids because mine always enjoyed it and daughter is 44 and if son had not moved to live with Jesus in 2017, he would be 48. All easy and kinda cheap to make and it feeds a lot of people.

Wow God is so good. I cant believe i came across this recipe. This was my brothers favorite cake that his friends wife used to make him. I never got her recipe. My brother passed away in 2012. I loved him so much and miss him dearly. I enjoy watching your videos so much. I just found you like 2 months ago and I'm hooked. I would love to make this but I’m in the uk and vegetarian. Most of these ingredients are not available here or have animal products like gelatine in them😢 if there are alternative ingredients to use I would really appreciate it......it looks sO good. Thank you for sharing
Hello I enjoyed your recipe and I'm glad you taught me how to make the Cool whip pudding icing. I let the Jello get real slurpy then I used a baser to poke holes into a cold cake. Then I rinsed the baser and filled the baser with cold slurpy Jello and filled the holes.
Ask me why I baked a French vanilla cake with my own cream cheese French vanilla icing on the cake I was thinking about your cake now I'm definitely going to make this food from my kitchen to yours 😉😋 never really had patience to bake but now I do because of you Gina Young😍
